Try either selecting to remove all duplicate vertices or invert polys... This is not un-common.

a great piece of work there. i would love to know how you set up the displacement map as i tend to have problems in controlling it myself.

My advice would be to download and install daz studio as it is free at the moment and register for the mailing list. Daz regulary outputs free content for studio and there is plenty of resources for you to learn about all of your above questions.
Essentially speaking all of you questions relate directly to daz studio (an in some cases poser) in the A4, G4, V4 are human styled models titled Aiko4, Genesis4 and Victoria4. Morphs are related to the ability to distort features of the models (especialy faial expressions etc) and as you have guessed Kids4 are child models.

Hope this helps

The issue has been created due to using boolean to create the hole. the only way you can create a hole in a wall is to literally model it or use an alpha map as part of the texturing process. Boolean is OK using proceedural textures that don't form a regular surface but as soon as there is some form of regularity wether it be proceedural or UV mapped image base, booleans sends the whole thing hay wire.

There is that but I have to confess that I am a true carrara nut and so prefer to deal directly within carrara and use the others as essentially expansion plugins (if that makes sense )... I'm just wierd LOL.

Thanks for the comment UVDan. It is greatly appreciated.
Sadly to use any model created within carrara within DazStudio or Poser you have to export the model as an obj and then rig it directly within DazStudio or Poser.
But personally I only use Poser and Studio as content sources for carrara as I can create full animations and rigging within carrara (which I have yet to do  ) so I can't really understand why one would want to rig it within the other programs as this would surely create a greater stress on the system... or am I missing something

Thanks for the comments. Yes I am planning on developing an animation with it and maybe one day even releasing it as a fully rigged model. Just gotta learn more about the animation side first and get some music constructed (another one of my passions )... hopefully the end will not be too far away

Thanks for the tip. I there anyway of stopping the cast light from fanning out as I know that natural light doesn't actually do this or to such a great extent anyhow. The spread just seems a little un-natural... or is that just me

Thanks for CG link. I am a member of the website and have a few models available for download (just look up "ibcreations" if you're ever interested) but I have to confess that I never thought of looking there... I shall go and do some serious browsing over there now
