How about some Neil Young (Thrasher) or maybe Gordon Lightfoot (Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald) I know it's a little long but still a classic. Come to think of it you have a slight resemblance to Gordon Lightfoot but with some chin whiskers.
Thread: OT Bobbystahr - singer/songwriter or busker? | Forum: Bryce
There are quite a few of our Canadian cities that hold annual Busker Festivals. I've seen a couple in Halifax and one in Windsor and a couple in Kingston. They are quite entertaining actually, there are some quite talented musicians, magicians, comedians, etc, etc, etc. You name it they got it. Some of these entertainers come from all over the world to perform in these festivals.

Wow, very cool, one of my images on the back cover. Please thank the "three others" for including it and a great overall design of the CD case BT.

You could also try these free ship wakes from SpaceBones, they are quite good.

Welcome to forum, that's a very nice start to your forum of Emporiae, can't wait to see the finished product. Here's a few links to some great texture sites, you should be able to find what your looking for on one of these.[

Thread: My Little Experiment | Forum: Bryce
Well this thread explains a lot to me. I have it set up so that i get an e-mail notification when you post a new image. When I clicked on the link and saw your latest image I thought I was on the wrong page, not that its a bad image, quite the opposite. The lighting mood and textures are excellent as usual, it's just it's such a departure from your usual stuff. Please keep the "regular Max-" images coming.
Thread: How do you create a forest? | Forum: Bryce
I've not seen Foleypro's plugin so I can't really comment on that but I'm assuming its based on the following principal.
One way to do it would be to render a half dozen or so different looking trees arranging them sporattically, then do a mask render of the same scene, save the two as .jpg. Do this 2 or 3 times with different looking trees each time. Apply these three set's of two .jpg's as a texture to three seperate 2D planes then group. You could then use the multi replicate tool to multiply the number of trees in your scene. This would populate your forrest quite nicely and cut down a lot on the poly's but not sure how it would look when used in an animation. Never really played around with Bryce's animation tools.

I didn't get em all at one site. They were from several different sites. Whenever I would find a tutorial I would just print it out. After completing it I would just file it away with the others.

Something I never thought about in my last post. Firstly, Am I allowed to do something like this ? These tutorials are not mine they all belong to someone else. Would I have to get the permission of every single author ?. If I put a disclaimer on it stating they are not mine just a compilation, is that ok.

Hmmmmm, this thread gets me to thinking. I started in Bryce around 2002 and the way I learned best was how rjay and Incognitas had mentioned, by printing tutorials and following them. I have 5 years worth, anywhere from 50-75 (possibly more) printed turorials, and other documentation on Bryce, all pretty well organized and filed away (only drawback is about half are not in color).
What I was thinking is if I were to organize these, scan and PDF them with an index, is this something the community would be interested in. Somtheing like this would probably take me some time to complete but would be willing to do it if enough were interested. One other problem would be finding someone to host it as I do not have a web site. Anybody want something like this ?

Well, he has a home page here on Rendo, you could always go there and send him an e-mail or instant message. I'm assuming its the same person your talking about.
Thread: depth of field | Forum: Bryce
I played with this a while ago as well, and after numerous attempts I was never really satisfied with the results that Bryce gave me. I found it much easier, faster, and got better results if I wanted to use DOF in a render by rendering seperate masks in Bryce. I would them combine them in postwork using blur effects in an image editing program such as Paintshop Pro or Photoshop. Depth of field generator pro looks promising though, I've never seen that one before.

Doh !! Shows you I've never been behind the wheel of a MAC. Ok, it doesn't seem to work then because I've tried just Cntrl+Alt and nothing happens.
Thread: Challenge results and new challenge ideas. | Forum: Bryce
The thumbnails are just a small sort of prize. Once a year there is a challenge to create the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place graphic for the monthly challenge winners. If you have a website or gallery somewhere on the net and you win on one of the monthly challenges you can add "your prize" to the picture if posted somewhere, or place it directly on your site.
