Quote - The "feetforshoe" morph helps quite a bit with the shaping, pjz99's toe morph is indispensable, the size morph is, of course, in the morphforms section, and, as far as the general shape, there's the morphbrush.
Of course, there are many workarounds, and it's possible to achieve acceptable results, but with a lot of work which should have been unnecessary from the start.
My rant is: oh mighty V4 creators, had you seen at least one real barefoot girl before modeling those ugly things?

Quote - Pointed ears and wings ? I've never seen a Vulcan with wings, so it's only logical you haven't found a real one yet.

Actually I was talking about Avariels, but they are as rare as Vulcans to be found on this world...

I prefer Twitter. On Twitter, you can be as stupid as on Facebook, but only in 140 characters.
Anyway, I am ksabers, if you want to follow me. I tweet both in Italian and in English, and sometimes I even say something intelligent. Not always, of course.
Oh, yes, I have a FB account, but just for Xbox Live testing, so do not expect a lot of updates there (and definitely not intelligent discussions).

You are right, BB.
But Lisbeth has ALREADY done the 180 frames animation, and she says it's seamless with 720 degrees of rotation. Actually I don't understand how it's possible, because like you said, she should have a duplicated frame when looping the animation.
Anyway if it IS seamless, by logic a 540 frames animation with 2140 degrees of rotation should be equally seamless because we are just multiplying the frames three times.
If on the contrary it is NOT seamless, then your calculations are right.
But it's a bad day for me and I am without even one cup of coffee!

I have never done an animation so I speak exclusively from a mathematical point of view (feel free to consider this post only as a spam when someone else will give you a better reply).
2240 degrees to have the same speed (720 : 180 = x : 560).
But because 180 does not divide 560 exactly, at the animation end the fan could not be exactly in the same start position (actually it depends from how many blades the fan has).
To have the same speed AND the same position, the new animation should be 540 frames, and the fan should rotate 2160 degrees.
But as I said before, you should await for a real animator!

Mmmmm... yes, you are right, because in a finger there are separate body parts. I didn't think about it (silly me). /kicks himself.
But what if, for example, I want to cut a pair of pants? That is, making invisible just a section of a body part which does not have separate material zones?

Thread: OT: what's your 3D strength / weakness? An informal poll | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote -
My biggest weakness is my short attention span (waves at wheatpenny) - if something isn't done in a day or two I lose interest in it. So I have a lot of "almost done" things lying around :(
Yes, maybe a weakness, but....
In my job (like many other jobs) I deal every day with deadlines. The software must be delivered by next month, the quality check and the manuals must be ready next week, and so on.
3D drawing is an hobby. A pastime. HERE, I can afford to not be worried about finishing perfectly the job. :tt2:
So I feel justified if I produce thirty half-finished images, then I delete them because I am not satisfied. I don't feel guilty if I spend a month trying to understand Blender without success.
After all, sometimes the voyage is more important than the destination, right?

I do not call myself an "artist" because I am not even able to draw a straight line with a pencil. Said that, my (relative) strength lies in 2D programs, that is, I am able to make or modify textures (but not complex procedural shaders).
Another strength is that I have a good fantasy and I able to imagine nice scenes and images (even if only in my mind).
My weakness is more or less everything else. I don't know to model a simple cube (let alone a teapot) and I know absolutely nothing about morphs and their magic.
Given enough time and money, I would like to improve: 1) modeling and sculpting skills, 2) lights use and simulated light math.
