Pulling the P11 download link from the website unannounced was a premature move. An email to all users would have avoided this problem and allowed those with valid licenses to download and archive their copies by a specific deadline. Better yet, Bondware could reinstate the web link for a limited time, notify users by email, and allow them to download the software.

Honestly, the old firefly materials in Poser need a complete overhaul. There have been corrections and repairs done to many nodes over the different Poser versions, and the implementation of FF shaders has changed, thanks to Bagginsbill. I do agree that there should be more Superfly-centric materials, but which format would users be comfortable using in their scenes: PoserSurface, PhysicalSurface, or Cycles?

Just the same, I would advise reporting it. Those are click-bait posts soliciting your attention. It's better to prevent a possible cyberattack than have Renderosity blamed for spreading a virus.

If you are courageous enough to attempt assembling shaders yourself, you can download free PBR textures from several sites. Google PBR textures and you should get a reliable list of sites.

Regrettably, tutorials on importing Genesis 8 and 9 figures into Poser are scarce. This could be due to a reluctance to share the process or because it's not entirely foolproof. However, if this knowledge were more accessible, it might encourage more users to try it out.

Changing zones may 'reawaken' the Material Room. However, you are right; that room has responded slowly when changes are made. Please submit a ticket to the tech team for assistance.

It seems to be a case of file corruption. If you can still access Poser, please open the log to review its contents. This will show you where the rendering issue occurred. As Rhia mentioned, the complexity of the scene may have caused Poser to halt. In such a case, close Poser and restart your system.

There isn't enough information to determine what you are attempting to do. Are you rendering it through Queue Manager on another computer? What type of scene are you trying to render?
