I'm using Win2K, and that works fine with Max and Poser. I've got a Dual 800 w/1M ram. On the hard renders, Max sucks up both CPU, but like Digit8r says, most scenes only seem to use high 300K ram.

Thanks Helen, I'll check that out. I'm planning to do some work in this area sometime soon. Joeyb
Thread: Kids clothing, do they exist? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Bug, This is rapidly becoming my next project. There's a definite need. I'm still working through the last steps of my current clothing model (Biz suit/skirt for P4 fem), and then it's off to kiddie land to get some stuff generated!
Thread: max to poser imports don't scale right | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ouch, Jim, sorry I asked. :o) I was planning to save my clothes as props (I think), but I want them to be conformable, and I'm still working on the first material map. Once I get that done, I'll "conform" the prop, and then see what has to change to be able to animate the clothes properly. Thanks Jim, for the tips!

That's what I've had to do, is scale down after they are in or do it on the import parameter panel. Interesting. How does the OBJ file know I've got a prop versus a figure? Is it because the OBJ is Exported from Poser, and therefore has it's position "known" to Poser for "figures"? (Just for curiosity sake, and to learn more about the depths of Poser.) Thanks Jim!

Kate, I love your sense of humor! You know, you're going to have to get the community working hard to create a special line of clothes for the ultra thin man!!! LOL Joey

In the Upload script, you need to provide the right URL. I had a little trouble figuring out how to do that, but I finally got it. My string for the data file, for example, looks like: http://joeyb.homestead.com/files/flateyebrows.zip and the thumbnail: http://joeyb.homestead.com/files/Morph_After_pic.jpg Hope that helps!

I put a new homestead site up last week and it worked fine for me. I see in the forums that a lot of sites appear to be inconsistent in their support. I know at homestead, I had to reference my individual /files/*.zip page. Are you sure the URL was set the way you want it?

Very well done, I like the body texture! I too think some smaller scales on her face would round it out great!

I'd be interested to see if you find that eyebrow morph. I just built one for the P4 Nude Female, but I haven't prepped it yet for the freestuff area. Got to get that done this week, just in case the only one at travelers site is for Vicky.

I like how you changed the top, it does look better this way. I have to agree with Bongo, when I'm working on a model, I try to only fix 2-3 things at a time, and not get too focused on a big list. Keep working on it, you'll get it the way you want it soon!

try morphs.bbay.com first. They have a lot of them for the P4 woman and vicky. but remember, they are not interchangeable. Also, if you just want to change the shape of the eyebrow, most people here seem to be using transparency maps and putting exactly what they want into the eyebrow and/or face texture. On the P4 woman, who has a large eyebrow ridge, you hide the ridge, and get the eye-brow you want. I don't have Vicky, but I don't think she's too different from the P4 model. There's lots of tutorials here that can lead you to doing that. There are even free textures (I think for Vicky also) so you can see how it's done. Keep trying, and if you have specific questions, the regulars here are extremely helpful.Thread: Newbie Question About Eyes. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
dracx, JeffH is right, thats probably the best way. Anything else you do (magnets, or changing the model outside of poser), are the preparation steps for building a morph. The only problem with going to bbay is that there's so many morphs to try out! And that's a good problem!
