There is one thing you need to keep in mind once these files are saved as a .br7 file they will not longer work in Bryce 6.
Thread: An idea we may want to consider | Forum: Bryce
Does anyone here think that the Cover should be from all the artists who show off their work? Because that way I think its also fair I also think that the Book would need Sections like Science and Technology, Insects, Vechicles, Scenerary, Space Exploration, Metaball modelling(and there are some fantastic Artists who manipulate meta balls) Engines and Machinery and any other subject. it might pay also (as this is a Bryce Masters Book) To have all the models made in Bryce because I think Bryce is a very easy program to use and I also think that it will look good when people read that all the models were made in Bryce. I am not the moderator of this forum so I think the moderator or the Admin should have the ultimate say on that but its just an idea.

Thread: Largest resource of free Bryce textures? | Forum: Bryce
Yes thats correct you can tweak them as much as you want here is an example I have made in Bryce Myself it is a Katana Sword Texture using cylinders and a material within Bryce its very easy to do and has some really cool results

That Sound a Fantastic idea Guys
That sounds Brilliant have 10 of peoples best work and Call it Bryce Masters sounds like a very good plan. We would probably want to make sure we do all sorts of different things just to show what Bryce is capable of and I think a good way to go is make sure all the models are in highest quaility possible and then upload the ideas here and credit everyone who puts in. Thats a really good idea.
Thank you

Hi Guys
I am sorry for late reply not been feeling well at all but I am feeling a bit better now. I agree with Agent Smith it is a big ask of all artists to trust one person so My view is it should be someone from Renderosity in Charge and another thing to take into account is it is probably a good idea to copyright peoples work in it. Making a PDF Does sound like an good option and maybe instead of printing the book Renderosity Joins iBooks and Amazon Kindle and publish with them so people can buy for their devices. The only trouble with that though is it is a very slow process and not guaranteed to actually make an awful lot of money(because its not quaility its quantity that sells). I also think maybe Making Tutorials for the book would provide a good purchase as well. The Amount of People that we would have put their work in the book well its really up to the people who work with Bryce because it is their work so they would need to approve But I know a couple of people who might. Maybe this is a Subject that needs a lot of thought Star Wars and stuff like that would not be allowed due to copyright problems and the artists would need to make sure there work is copyrighted. And a Title is need also This is really interesting.
I would give my work for definite.
Thanks for your replies Guys

Thread: Largest resource of free Bryce textures? | Forum: Bryce
Your gonna find this weird but the biggest resources of Bryce Textures is actually within Bryce itself(I will explain better than this)
You can make Endless Textures with so many different Methods for Example Using Boolean objects to make things then turning to aerial mode(from Above) and you can make loads of textures that Way or another way Copying Bryce Textures from an Aerial View and mix and match them in Photoshop(or Gimp or Whatever). and you can make endless Textures That way too. So in my View the biggest Resources of Bryce Textures is already within Bryce itself all you need to do is a little experimentation to get it.

Thread: Hybrid insect | Forum: Bryce
Hi Fran
Those needles are hairs with water droplets on them as its a Hybrid it does mean it has all the Strengths of both and less weakness's. The real Challenge with this was getting the water droplets as I am sure you know once you have so many boolean objects it take an age to load so I used meta Balls for the water as they take up less polygons then spheres. This is probably my best work until the Dragon damsel Fly is finished. I have been looking at some of your work and think its mind blowing I love the concept of a new Bryce you came up with if Daz had that type of imagination everyone would use Bryce and only Bryce. Thanks for looking

Thread: Bryce 8 Development Funded Via Kickstarter | Forum: Bryce
Does this Mean Bryce will be funded by someone else?
I started We Need to insure that Bryce Survives thread a while ago and am only just learning how to use Python and will need to learn an awful lot more to bring it out but if someone else has come up with an idea they may be better suited(Not that I am going to give up on it I still will be learning to write 3d Programs) So if there is anything I can offer to help insure Bryce Survives I will surrender all my work so people can sell it to insure Bryce Survives and I can make whatever needed(organics are hard but not impossible unless its obj files. I think the best way to compile a program like Bryce would be to use two powerful Computer Programming Languages Opengl is essential as it helps vastly in making a 3d program and after that I suggest either Python or Java C and C++ is very hard and Malbolge is impossible so I would say Python or Java would be the best Bet.

Thats awful man what is it with people nowadays
Sure Constructive critics is fine but flaming your work is total bull. I personally think it is jealously in the art world whatever you do you have to have a thick skin I have noticed because some people like nothing more than to run other people down. My advice to them is Get a Life or try to do something yourself rather than run down others.
Thread: Texturing a model | Forum: Bryce
How you go about it is you Can either use a Bryce procedural texture or make one in Photoshop and import that texture into bryce you click the m on the object to open it and then you click p for a texture you want to import or you can make you own in the deep texture editor. Hope that helps oh and if you use mac you will need Bryce 6.3 or another version to import it and then import it into bryce 7 pro as the mac version has an annoying glitch that crashes when you try to import a picture.

Great Comment Atomic_Anvil
I totally Agree although if I can develope Bryce Reborn I will ask if they still want to put it on their on the condition that it is given as a freebie and maybe sell some online tutorials for new comers. I am going to start learning python first as its very powerful and easy to learn then I will progress to Java and Open gl.
