camera angle! thats my suggestion.... dont be afraid to move the camera....take it in niceand close and behind cap americas shoulder maybe...so your almost looking over him and into the fist of captain britain! or take it low and have it pointing upwards at the two figures! seriously..play with your camera and you will be suprised how you can change the picture without even changing the figures!
Thread: 'Layering' conforming clothes | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ok the simplest method of achieving the "layering" your after is to make the parts of the shirt you cant see...invisible! so for instance...you have a tight shirt on V3..then overlay a jacket...but maybe the shirts arms show through the jackets arms....so select the shirt arms and in the properties for it un-check the "visible" selection....the shirt arms will essentially still be in the scene but Poser wont tender it at all....it will depend greatly on how the clothing is "cut" how well this technique will work..but certainly for arms and legs and possible shoulders....this method will get you decent results 90% of the time..... remember that much of the time people settle for a certain amount of "glithces" in their renders...ie: clothing that shows through...skin peaking through clothing etc..... and then they " postwork" the glitches out in their chosen paint package.... personally i tend to get the clothing fitting as close as possible from the angle im viewing the model! if it dont fit from behind..hey what the hell...no-one will see that in the final image! LOL a combination of making sections of clothing invisible...you can also make sections of V3, or any figure in Poser, invisible as well...the clothing will still conform as if the part was there.....and postwork will get the results you need
Thread: Adding a V3 add on item to V3 in poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hey Garowen, nice to see Sam has been guiding you well........though Sam..the zip file aint set up incorrectly!! Its set-up how i set it up ;) I just dont set them up to unzip directly to the runtime....:) as for Tutorials, Garowen, you will find alot of helpful tutorials on my very own website: http://www.forgefires.co.uk in the tutes section....if i was you i would check out the ~Firelight~ and ~Book 5~, both of which have setting up a scene from start to finish and may help you out alot. Seing as your using Poser 5 there are a couple of things that Sam hasnt hit upon yet that might well help you out... MAT files are an easy way of adding textures sure....but it wont help you out if you want to change them slightly...get to know how to change textures in the MATERIAL ROOM as well... choose from the top menu: RENDER>MATERIALS this will open up the material room....by selecting your figure or parts of it you can start to change how textures are loaded onto your figure....For instance...load V3 then open the material room....now click on her head.... the material room will display all the texture/material settings for her head.....the MAIN setting your going to be looking for is DIFFUSE COLOUR...if there is a texture loaded then "plugged" into this option will be window displaying the properties of that texture!IMAGE SOURCE etc will give you details of where this texture is loaded from. Using a MAT file will of course set all this up for you...however to my mind its best to know what them MAT files are actually doing! ;) A quick run through the settings displayed will sort you out im sure! Certainly MAT files created for Poser 4 (like the Amazons one) might not set up the texture correctly in Poser 5...so it is always worth knowing where and how the textures can be checked and loaded! on a slightly different note...always recall you can use the TEXTURE SHADED option in the preview window to show you a texture on your figure without rendering it! if you need help and you wish to contact me then please feel free to do so....or if you run MESSENGER feel free to add me and track me down online...ill help you in any way i can kirisute@hotmail.co.uk

Thread: Where are my pictures? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
hey there people....as you are probably aware mine was one of the contests directly effected by this ruling...and to enlighten anyone who may not have seen the messages flying about here is amdirect paste of the message ive recieved to "explain" "Instant Message from JenyK: Your gallery post "Warrior Contest" is in violation of Renderosity's Terms of Service and has been removed. This is your first warning and will be posted in your member record. Any practices that affect the normal operations of the community (Admins will take whatever steps are necessary to restore service). I'm very surprised that you would start a contest in the galleries instead of contacting us to find out how to properly sponsor a legitimate contest within our community. Below is the merchant contest forum that is private to merchants, mods and admins so you can discuss and launch your contest the right way. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12438 Also, any images that are part of your contest or someone elses will also be removed." so there ya go....no more contest.... so heres what gonna happen with my contest! ill find a way to get this contest continuing! dont know how yet but it will carry on! ill mesage those that entered...i still have all your pictures if you need them back! message or email me if you wish them.....and if anyone has any ideas about running it still let me know.... its a stupid call by renderosity..and its damaged a good community! silly people

Thread: Dark Visions has ended. Voting Begins. | Forum: Contest Announcements
just actually read the rest of this thread to see who is voting and for whom...... you know ive been around at Oisty a good couple of years now, and i can honestly say there are some of the most wonderful and dedicated and honest people with the community as you could ever wish to meet.....those as judges within this competition are without doubt amongst those i would name as those people.... accusations of contest rule changes, kiss ass winners and suchlike just dont flow with those people..... its a contest....the rules are and have been always plainly stated on the website....and to besmirch the honour of those judging is by me reckoning beyond reproach.....alot of hard work and alot of time has gone into the contest and its design and prizes.... personally i salute everone who entered and especially those who sit upon the judge panel! good luck all....its not the winning that counts...
