Thanks- it was texture filtering that was causing the problem. I' rendering someone else's product.
The eyelashes look better with texture filtering on- they look too thick and smeared without it.

I believe that your asesment is probably correct. I increased the page file size but the Poser 4 render option still crashed. However the render works using the firefly render engine on the same scene. I prefer the P4 render option to the firefly because it looks sharper to my eye.

I've been using the Poser 4 Render option, but I'll try experimenting with the Firefly render engine which does have a bucket size.

Thanks to all of you for your help.There may have been more than 1 download folder.I resolved the problem by removing the poser 5 runtime folder and replacing it (after updating the content) with the runtime folder that I previousely saved as a backup.Once again thanks for all your help.

Removing the Lib pref xml or changing the 5 to a 0 doesn't work. I think I'll have to delete Poser 5 and reinstall it I hope there is another solution..

That doesn't fix the problem. When the program opens an error warning appears saying the system can't find the specified path error3. The path is -
Directory:C:|Program filescurious labsposer5Downloadsruntimelibrariespose.
I created the download folder but you canonly add it in poser and I don't get the full libraries pallet. Help.

The main problem is the drive that poser is on crashed.

No I didn't rename it. Iam having problems getting Poser 5 to add a runtime folder. I've tried several times and after the folder is added all the catagories -figures ,poses ,lights are devoid of content even though the folders are full.I just "cheated" and added the content I wanted into the existing folder and it works.Still like to rename it.
