It's really terrible for forum users like me who only irregularly contribute here and even less over at DS forum to read such personal attacks as those from 'tonyvilters' and 'KarinaKiev' targeted against all Poser users who use DSON ("retarded") and especially two other members of this forum who still react civil to these comments and stay on topic.
To the moderators here: before you close this thread consider just to block 'tonyvilters' and 'KarinaKiev' from this thread because it was interesting to read all the other comments on the subject. Thanks in advance! PS: Sorry I did not find the option to write a PM to the moderator about this.
Thread: Deleted Poser 11 Pro this morning - back to Poser10/2014 Pro | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had the same problems as @joeannie. However after I relocated my Poser runtime and the DSON files to PP 2014 where everything works perfectly I opened PP 11 again and something surprising happened: Now the G2, G3, and G8 figures suddenly open without problems in PP11. I don't know why but it only works with the runtime linked to PP 2014 on my PC. But to be more specific: I have only Poser runtime and that's in Poser within Program files because I have all administration rights. I had only problems when I tried to use the 'my files - documents' path outside C:Program files.
@hborre: no the subdivision turn off only makes sense if you load a lot of figures into Poser. Otherwise you don't see nearly enough how the figure looks with used morphs. I haven't done it when I've loaded only up to four G2 figures with lots of morphs and clothed and it worked decent enough. I have 8 GB RAM that's not much but it works. After I've posed a fully clothed Genesis figure I strip the unused morphs off with svdl's megauseful old python script 'remove morphs' (don't forget to put NEW null *.exc files into Python->poserScripts->svdl for the Genesis figures as Genesis2Male{3f4c7dca-28ea-0ece-f925-e155625984f8}.exc !!!). This way you use less MB for each Genesis figure and I've rendered scenes with 10 Genesis 2 figures without using subdivision off!
Thread: Taking sweaty skin to the next level | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It doesn't look wet or sweaty. And sweat or water drops don't look so isolated in real on faces. This happens only if the skin is covered with certain face creams or oil is on the skin. Sorry, don't want to be rude, but so far I see only a skin disease, glowing acne and not the "next level"...
Thread: Is there a way to convert iray scenes easily so they can be opened in poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
regarding the props in the centre: in DS just unparent everything. The items will stay in the correct places if you unparent them and save then everything as a scene in DS that you can either convert into PCF or import with FBX to Poser.

The news stories cover it quite comprehensively
Autonomy from German hegemony (they dominate EU policy ),
If Germany would dominate the EU they could work much more efficient believe me. You seem to be not aware about how the EU works: Portugal or Belgium have the same voting power as Germany or France. It's the media who zooms in on Chancellor Merkel and what she or the Finance Minister of Germany say.
I think it doesn't matter that much whether the UK leaves the EU or not. There is still a Germany which has the biggest economy in Europe and sells more cars. And there a still refugees who try to come into the UK. This referendum will not change the facts.

@Nukeboy: which path do you have in
Scripts->DSON Support->Importer Preferences
used for
Writable Runtime Folder
?
It should be that one, where Poser can create the companion files under an automatically created folder named auto_adapted.
Thread: Fix the damn Poser !! Library!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
And no @rachel12 it doesn't make any difference. The unnerving "indexing in process" is still freezing Poser Pro 11 and makes heavy usage of CPU. No other way than to kill the process in the task manager. They already had 2 SR's out and this is still not fixed.
Yes there are alternative libraries but why spend more money when one that I already paid for should work? It's the first time I'm really angry with SmithMicro.

The fix I found for the library indexing, someone mention it had to do with Windows 10 and security. So I did, went to the main pp11 file and open properties. Once in properties, just go to security and check allow on everything. Admin, users, go down the list and just allow. I then restarted my computer and the library was no longer indexing.
Thanks, I will try that even though I'm working with Windows 7.

Is there any way to STOP this damn library from working in that damn "indexing in progress" mode?
I'm unable to continue to work because it is so buggy that nothing is possible. I can't even get textures on anything. And there is no way to stop this "indexing" except to close Poser and because it's still running in the task manager I have to close it there too.

Sr2 "• Fixed case where thumbnails were not refreshing properly when replacing an old thumbnail with a new version."
I still get only black thumbnails if I save new materials and those aren't visible in the library at all, only if I locate to the folder.
And if I save a pose it uses a view from a camera that I don't use - so the figure with the pose it's only partial visible.
Anyone else having the same experiences or am I doing something wrong?

Thread: What is the script that removes unused morphs? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
@AsteroidLady: I think you mean the 'RemoveMorphs.py' script by svdl from the free stuff here. It does what you want and I use it all the time. You can also use it for Genesis figures.
Thread: Poser content update for poser 11 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you! Weird coincidence: I'm just rendering Paul with a parted side hair for James. :-)

For Paul, there are no poses provided
With SR1 (11.0.1.31230) Paul came with clothes and six face expressions, nothing else. The clothes are less than in the days of James and Simon while the textures of those clothes for Paul seem to be much older... really how is that an alternative to Genesis, even Genesis 3 without facial expressions looks better in Poser than Pauline and Paul with their weird fingers etc.
So if the new content updater still has no poses for Paul what about hair?
