I can't really see it to clearly from the picture . Does it look like a missing polygon ? I noticed this on the new DAZ dragon , that when rendered some of the polygons would not render . I think I adjusted the pixel sample setting to 4 to get rid of it .

Thread: Reflecting upon Curious Labs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I agree . Although I really don't like the new registation system I pre-ordered my copy yesterday. The worst thing that can happen is it could cause nothing but trouble and I will have wasted 179$ . But I trust that Curious Labs isn't stupid enough to throw something out that could put them out of business if it doesn't work , because if they do they can be certain that they have lost MY business and probably other peoples as well . On one point I disagree , Curious Labs and other software companies need to remember that the customer ALWAYS comes first and they should always try to give thier customers "what they want when they want it" . I work for BOSCH making car parts and that point is always on our minds . One of our customers is General Motors and believe me when they call and tell us to jump, we say "how high ?"
Thread: P5 - Impact on existing products & outlook for new ones? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I downloaded the P5 manual yesterday . I didn't see anything in it that looks like it would cause problems with figures already out there or textures . It mainly looks like a combination of Poser 4 and the pro pack with extra bells and whistles ( very nice bells and whistles if they work ) . The thing I'm worried about is the new registration procedure that requires you to submit the challenge code that comes with it , to get a response code that will make it work . I thought they had changed thier mind about this but it looks like I was wrong . I don't like the idea of being FORCED to register but I suppose I can live with it . Does anyone know if this response code is a one time thing ? Or do you have to get a new code if you uninstall it and then re-install the program ?
Thread: What gives an image initial viewing appeal ?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A few weeks ago I went through the Poser gallery with a pencil and paper and studied the thumbnails to try and answer this question . My images have just not had the viewings that I had hoped and I was determined to find out what it is that I am doing wrong . I came up with a list of things that seem to work most of which has already been covered . 1-nudity 2-a teasing close up 3-eye pleasing reflections seem to draw a crowd 4-anything with a theme such as star wars , superhero's, etc. 5-naked fairies 6-photorealistic textures 7-Good face close up's 8-really bright colors Also the number of images an artist does probably has a lot to do with it . Some people do several images a month while others like myself , make maybe a couple all year.
Thread: OT ish, I was wondering if there are any Poser folks local to me. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well ,I don't live near Tennessee but I like the fact that we have a few "southerners" here . I'm from Anderson , South Carolina .
Thread: T'Pol | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nice job , you should check out Daz's new figure Stephanie . I think it looks like T'pol without even messing with any morphs , I think it's all in the lips .

Thanks , I just bought the program three weeks ago so it was a big help . It's a little more dificult to learn than paintshop pro , it took me about 30 minutes today to learn how to use a alpha channel to clip out areas of an image , a process that would have taken about 5 seconds in paintshop , but thats how you learn .
Thread: So, should we use the new patch 4.05? | Forum: Vue
My problem was what Mike has except in my case if I tried to load a saved scene that was stored in another folder outside of Vue it would not open the folder .
Thread: So, should we use the new patch 4.05? | Forum: Vue
I think I had a similar problem to what Mike had . Mine would only show little black boxes for the folders when trying to load a file and it would only load directly from the Vue folder. I went back to 4.03 , it seems to be the most stable for me . I will be really glad when they get this thing fixed , it's a great program when you can get it to do what it's supposed to do .

Thread: dina or victoria (2) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It really all comes down to what your looking to do with it don,t buy either one just because everyone else does . I have both so I can say If you want to dive right in and start posing , making images , and making characters go with Vicki 2 plus it's easier on your computer . What your paying for with Dina is potential . It doesn't have the morphs or clothes to keep up with Vicki yet but the mesh is a blast to work with if you like making morphs , and hopefully there will be more free stuff for it eventually .

Thread: Tiny Dina II - Electric Boogaloo | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the info. I think I might buy it . The funny thing is that everyone Who has it likes it , it seems the only complaints are from people who don't have the figure . All things considered , the shoulders would probably be pretty easy to fix . I was at first concerned about the polygon count but I remembered I have Solondra and it has a little over 100,000 polygons and runs just fine so it shouldn't be an issue . By the way where would I find Jim Burtons shoulder fix ?
