I considered Don a friend as we had a long term association at the Poser newsgroup. I prefer not to think of him as gone... but rather that he is out there observing first hand the great depth of space he put in his pictures. Don was a gentleman and a scholar as well as a gifted artist... he will be sorely missed by all who kniew him.

Some time ago over at the 3D Commune store they had a set of character meshes for the Poser mannequin. [Woodie is the offical mascot of 3D Commune and even has his own gallery.]

I was born on my mother's 20th birthday... her #1 son. We had a very strong bond and I always felt very sad when a war or some other event prevented us from getting together at birthday time. We shared our last birthday together on Jan. 13th, 2002... she was laid to rest on Valentine Day the following month. She had been fighting cervical cancer, brittle diabetes, and congestive heart failure for over 4 years and never once complained of her situation. I saw her have 2 miracle recoveries during her last years; she walked away from 2 heart attacks that the doctor's swore recovery was impossible. I think Armorbeast has an excellent idea... and I would support it for sure.

The last time I was in contact with her she was not in real good health... but that was some time ago so I hope that is not part of the problem.

Thanks for posting here... I never visit the Showcase forum and would not have gotten the word. It is a great loss to the artistic community... Billy was one of the "good guys". My prayers go out to his family in this time of sorrow.

The mass confusion is due to Daz's lack of providing adequate information. I read about the hand fix update on some forum other than one at Daz, same as with this moat recent update. When Daz issues an update they just throw it into the old d/l slot on the forum and don't bother with letting people know what is going on. This is probably a lack of training forum admins in 'polite policical procedure' ... or as we used to say in the Army, they forgot their 7-basic military P's: Practical Prior Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance.

There was one intermediate update to Sara that corrected the hand problem and well as one with the hip I believe...this was also not posted or announced at Daz when it came out. So actually I think this latest file is the 3rd d/l of Sara that has appeared at the Daz forum board. I am not sure why they feel they have to be so secretive about Sara updates, it can't be simply because she is a freebie for the character has generated a lot of profits on the accessory store items. I did d/l the new one just so I will have her, but prefer the first release. I still think the Neftis NefToon Gal looks more like Goosen's "The Girl" than Sara does.
