Nice...dogs can put up with so much....As long as you feed and care for them... I know of no cat that will tolerate small children for long. (or adult) hehe....

Once I get this thing back in one piece and run a few tests....and see if it will still work...remember this is an experiment....plus I have to borrow a soldering iron from work...

what model of sony so you have. Your meter is most likely being "fooled" in a situation like this. Assuming you are using one of the many basic sony models, Try metering off of different areas of the subject...for example aim your camera at the bright white on the roof hold the button half-way...recompose the shot and then push the shutter button the rest of the way. In that example, the shadows would be darker, but the rest would not be so blown out

There are several items I've been messing around with for IR filter substitutes. -Two pieces of unexposed, but processed E-6 film. (slides) -Two pieces of exposed, but processed color negative film. (the above image used 400 iso kodak over the lens) -An old 5 1/4 inch floppy disk. (the actual media) Exposure times vary. If you do a google you can find some info on the floppy disk technique. An actual glass IR filter is still the best as far as image quality goes, but these are sooo much cheaper, and also give slightly different results.
