Thread: Poser -> OBJ export -> polygon groups -> Lightwave import -> Groups gone ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My somewhat simple workaround is to export every other group of a model. Do two exports to get all the groups. Open both objects in LW, copy and paste one into a separate layer of the other. You will then have all the groups on two (or more if you want) different layers.

I do comic and magazine covers for a friend. If the book makes money, I get paid. So far I've only made money on the one linked above.Scott

Thread: Texturing V4 in Zbrush - and back to Poser ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think you would have to make subtools that match each of V4's texture maps. Then convert the polypainting on each subtool back to a texture map. I've never tried it, so that's just a guess.

Grrr! I've been trying to not spend money on 3D, but I think I'm gonna have to get this. Your stuff is great.

Thread: Clouds - Spectral and Meta Clouds | Forum: Vue
Yeah, it's gonna take particles to get that billowy look, but the metaclouds are still a big improvement over past versions of Vue.

Thread: Clouds - Spectral and Meta Clouds | Forum: Vue
I was reading this thread before I got my copy of V6I, so the first thing I did when I got it was play with the MetaClouds. From looking at other peoples pictures, I decided just one cloud probably couldn't get the right look. I used eleven, one full sized cloud with ten reduced size clouds around it. I think I'm getting closer to the right look this way.

Thread: Slightly OT: Mudbox! | Forum: Vue
The ZB3 upgrade is free, something I am very happy about as I just upgraded Poser and Vue. Oh, and that video is pretty amazing.

Thread: Poser 7 Delivers Brush-like Morphing Tools | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah Teyon, Configurable Search was the one that finally got me to pre-order. I hate it when I know where the texture is, but Poser keeps looking for 5-10 minutes before asking me where it is.

Thread: Bryce 6 is at Daz for $6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've alway liked Bryce's Terrain Editor better than Vue's, so an improved version for $6 is a no-brainer for me. Bryce terrains render very nice in Vue.
