Thread: fine vs superfine | Forum: Bryce
well in abstracts fine seems to work fine.
still takes ages to render though (well my perception is it does, now takes 2 hours instead of 4 on as it used to on my old machine)
Thread: animating abstracts - any hints and tips? | Forum: Bryce
yeah I have the scene already setup (check my gallery)
just not used to setting up the animation paths in bryce.
will test it out though this weekend

Hey those are damn good.
how long did it take to create?
yeah thats the thing I am after.
any hints on how to do it (I have not played with bryces animation features)
although have played with vues animation system and that is easy to use.
what we need is a way of getting bryce to be sound reactive as well (now that would be a kick arse feature).
thanks
Thread: artists block (vue 6 esprit) | Forum: Vue
well folks, thanks for all the kind advice.
managed to get over the artists block last night, not with vue though but with bryce and a little help from jepe.
yeah going back to creating abstracts with bryce for a while (back in the comfort zone).
will try and get round to doing things with vue very soon.
cheers
Thread: space scenes in vue esprit | Forum: Vue
thanks all, yeah sorry for not explaining what I wanted to do in the first post.
some great links there.
I wish I was at home creating art (I think I have the back to work after the holiday blues)
cheers

yeah pink floyd is cool
doors not too keen on.
well I have found loads of very good images, just trying to work out how to re-create them.
one of the major hurdles is the textures for the landscape, it either looks like melted plastic, or just does not look right at all.

cheers, what I was wondering is there a way of doing a whole space scene within vue and not using photoshop.
something like this :

I have always had a passion for bryce, I think it has such an easy interface to use and the abstracts you can create with the program are so easy to create.
I think I have tried all the major players out there in the 3d graphic world and the main 5 programs I keep coming back to are :
povray (fantastic piece of software and the one I started out with)
bryce
vue
terragen
mojoworld
So bryce will always have a place in my toolbox, although am doing stuff with vue at present.
thanks
