I especially like the plug for "you-know-who" when you reached >in the safe. I wrote to them and asked if they minded that plug but, as usual, nobody answered me back... TOny Lane Productions

My acting puts my teeth on edge! I am far more comfortable BEHIND the camera but, as I said on the interview at the site, I had to go with what I could get (grin)! The new film I just started will be a three minute horror comedy done entirely wih animated insects. The modeling for that is going to be...fun... BTW-I looked at your artist's page and you do VERY nice work! Thank you very much for the kind words. Tony Lane Productions

Hey, That's GREAT!!! Just keep at it and let folks know where you work is. This is one industry where you HAVE to self-promote or you never get seen. Sometimes you get frustrated and want to throw in the towell but stick with it and if you try hard enough you'll do just fine. Tony Lane

BTW-- If any of you DO go over to Urban Chillers (www.urbanchillers.com) to look at Mail Trap find the feedback section and let them know how you liked it. In the original competition there were over 200 entries and as far as I know mine was the only animation. If they know that folks want to see animation from what you tell 'em they will be more open to it in the future and that will open up markets to other animators out there. Tony Lane

Kendra & unclebob, Thank you both very much. Bob- sorry the video is so small but bandwidth is always a problem. The new one, Night Tracker, is hopefully even scarier. I'll let you know when the deal is closed and it is available. Btw-- if anybody is wondering, Poser4 animation and live action video CAN be matted together and look good. It takes a bit of work but the results are better than I expected.

There is a small web version available at www.urbanchillers.com in their 2 Minute Chiller section. The film is titled Mail Trap and I used Poser4 for a LOT of it. The new one, Night Tracker, is still up for grabs but will probably also premier at Urban CHillers. I'll let you all know when the she sira on television.

Anthony, Thank you very much. The new film, Night Tracker, has a bit of "Product Placement" in it for Poser. When the film is complete I will let you guys know where you can see it and you can let me know if you want it left in. I have a clip without the poser manual in plain sight if you have problems with it. Don't panic. The film is not porn, just a short horror story. Tony Lane

Thank YOU, ivyroses. Since I posted that a little while ago they called back and want to option my new film which is a mixture of live action and Poser4 animation. I have shown them some clips and they love it. Unless you insist that these companies treat you like a professional and you refuse to let them have your work for free they never will offer. Tony

Yep, I have 1.1.5 and, with a bit of luck, I'll get the zombie translated and finished by the weekend. I'm not sure yet what price I'll put on the figure but I promise to keep it as low as possible. If this piece moves well I have plans for more. I spent over 20 years as one of the top make-up artists in Hollywood (not bragging, just letting you know where this comes from) and 3D programs have finally caught up to a point where I can make that knowledge available and useful to artists. I would really like to know the kind of things that the community could find useful. Being able to charge reasonable amounts for this stuff will supplement my disability checks and help me make more things for everybody. I am also finishing one of the "Classic" Hollywood monsters from way back when and a turorial on how to animate and morph it. If there is something having to do with make-up (beauty or monsters--I've done both) please let me know either here or off the list. I'll help if I can. Tony Lane

You can use MacConverter (I assume that since >you're on a Mac you've got it! ;) http:// >www.softrabbit.com) to export files to PC format, >under the 'expert' menu. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I have it but I didn' know it worked the other way around. Tony Lane

Rob, Yes, the bits are separate but have various body parts as their parents. I don't think a MAT file would take care of that. would it? Tony

Rob, Thanks for the offer. I'm a bit concerned since there are a AWFUL lot of small pieces and transparency files that have to go in the right places. I don't know how I would even START to x'plane all of it. The tweaking of placements took darn near a month. However it DOES animate rather well. Tony
