Hi wolf359, thank you for the InDepth discussion.
I am aware it would be quite risky to start a Poser to Blender bridge and end up having to drop it because the python engine has changed. Unfortunately some great python tools like shaderworks have suffered such a fate.
As you pointed out, what Daz did is great. I would so much love to have that in Poser.
It is a lot of work and others than the Poser team will do that at their own risks.
I think than now that Blender is growing in strength Poser will come up with such a solution within a couple of years. I am hoping this :)
I have just watched a video of the GOZ bridge between DS and ZBrush. Compared to the Blender one it is far more simple. And also there is no texturing, just base mesh editing.
Far more simple does not mean it would be easy. I am a bit affraid by the Blender API, because I think it will be a hard to learn one. Hence the interest I have in looking at that plugin code.

Yes, I have heard about that. I think the reason for this is because ZBrush has internal tools for remote synchronization or somethjing like that.
But I don't have ZBrush, never played with it. I know a lot of people are using it, especially Poser creators.
Thank you for the link on the Poser to Blender tool; I will give it a look. I am curious to see how difficult or easy it would be to do a Blender plugin.

You did well, I am getting bored of the same beginner tutorials. It is good to see something new. I intend to watch more videos from her, just because she is a woman. Thank you for that.

Was a very interesting tutorial due to a number of issues. You learn more from mistakes than when things go smoothly.
Hopefully we will have something like the ZBrush bridge in Blender some day. And I would like the same in Poser: the morphing tool is a welcome helper for poke through but a frustrating one sometimes too :)

Thank you Lobo. Jay Versluis is very interesting to listen at. I like his tutorials Suscribed to that channel. I have suscribed to a number of DS channel but I have got very few suggestions from Youtube on DS. And even fewer on Poser.

I wanted to give it a try too byt yes, it goes too fast for me too. I've been watching a couple of videos from her following your post. It's pretty rare to have a woman posting tutorials on Blender. But it is the next level, I am still very slow at modeling :)

It is sure a major difference from 2.79.
As for the UI I like the fact I don't have to learn the shortcuts. When I need to do something I just look for it in the menus. And since the shortcut is displayed with the tooltip hint I learn progressively. Like that.

Hi MissB, yes it has gone for good.
You may use Collections for this. Create a new collection and move your camera and lights to it. Hiding the collection will hide all its child objects.

Great !
If I get it right seems like it is an improved FBX importer.
I wonder what it would give with a Poser exported FBX.

Feeling sorry for this Atpo.
btw A tip about Ransomeware that is worth was it is.
I have suscribed to a channel dedicated to security and the guy was saying that with W10 ransomeware have hard time crypting documents in your personnal documents folders.
The trick is to create and use and account without administrative rights and store your data in your personnal documents. Hence if you catch a virus your data could be safe.

Great trailer.Great effects, talented artists.
There's one I would like to share too. This one is using a green screen to mix a Blender scene and a video. I also like the lightnings on that one.

I like learning from books.
Unfortunately with the numerous changes in Blender since 2.8 a book on Blender would quickly be obsolete.

I see.
Blender is easier to use than it used to be. And also very popular. Most of the time when I've got a question I google it and find the answer within minutes. And also in Blender menus, (still a bit shy with shortcuts).
I have watched hundreds of video tutorials. But if don't practice you still don't know how to. You just recall it is possible to do, somehow.
Since I am not interested in doing a tutorial for a tutorial I am doing simple Poser projects and each time I am stuck I look for the answer online. Best way to learn (for me).
