I've been trying to use Wyrmaster's new magnet sets on lo-res Mike 1 (who renders nice and fast). What am I doing wrong there?

One thing I would like to see in the community is an install program (kind of like Windows has an instal program that it provides). The documentation I had for Poser5 indicated that Content Paradise would handle imports, and, alas, it doesn't. That would be nice, if everyone had something like the DAZ installer available to them. I know, the WinXP extract on a properly packed file just puts everything where it needs to go once you click through the directories, but it would still be nice to see the entire thing cleaned up, perhaps including a test utility as well.

I never used P4, but I've used P5 and like it. I'd like Judy/etc. to be a little prettier (I don't use them), perhaps they should talk with Sixus1 about packaging Adam and Behemoth or putting them in the download section at CL. What would I like. Better tutorial books. I've bought some (and have the manual, of course). The Poser 5 Handbook is pretty shallow, now that I've gotten the hang of things. Better library control (I'd like to be able to re-arrange libaries the way I can move favorite places around on Internet Explorer. I use NN most of the time, but I hate their manage bookmarks compared to IEs). Better "cancel this" for when I have a file that's a mess that I don't discover, though cntrl alt delete works well. I'm assuming that by P6 I'll be up to buying a new motherboard that will run twice as fast as this one, which will speed things up. I'd like to be able to do multiple saves/undos without having to do it manually, but I'm learning. I'd like windows compliant context sensitive help and windows help file help rather than adobe postscript help. I hate pdf help files, I really do. I've got a 19" LCD monitor and lots of real estate, but they still stink, not to mention they don't have the active linking and searchability that is so much easier with windows helpfiles. I'm impressed at the way that P5 makes P5 aware models so much better, while letting P4 and PP still able to handle the models (you can tell I buy a lot of stuff from Sixus1.com where all the models are done that way these days). Given the price on Amazon.com, I can't complain much about the software.

I deleted everything and reinstalled it all and all I have left to do is edit Content Paradise out of existence. I can see the point of it, but since it doesn't seem to allow me to access content I already have (for reinstalling that too), I'm not sure it meets my needs. A little too limited, though it doesn't seem to cause the performance hit I've been told about, I'm just not interested in the distraction or the soft porn that often is being sold via the advertisements. All in all I'm impressed with Poser 5 and have been happy with the efforts by the survivors at Curious Labs -- and appreciate their putting up with all the griping, etc.

Well, I now have content paradise -- broken -- the worst of both worlds. The install did not make me happy.
Thread: Poser 5 hair problem -- it stops at 174 hairs or so | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've been involved with poser as an artist for about a month. I'm afraid maps and displacement are a little bit beyond me right now. The number is 174 or 175, now I'm wondering if that is per segment or for the whole figure. Ah well. Thanks!

I've buried three children. I'd say that losing a pet is serious, but it is not quite the same. Steve http://adrr.com/living/

Thread: Since they asked, what would you like in Poser 6, in SR 4? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm, I have yet to meet anyone who has anything good to say about content paradise. Guess I should have said "library and menu control." Lights seem to be another big gripe as I read threads. Doesn't the sketch render handle the "partial render" needs? I'm still learning (I just got my first Poser product, Poser 5, a week or so ago, until then I was hiring an artist (and I'm not going to stop doing that) and doing some postwork).

Phil's are V3/M2 -- but the hakima pants are not bifurcated. On the other hand, it is a complete kendo uniform, with Shia, and very nicely done. http://istore.mikrotec.com/philc/index1.html?page=catalog&trackerid=1881228683&category=a&vid=795014998&pid=1264876215&oldvid=2143420604

You can see hakima pants, etc. with textures at http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=504608&Start=1&Artist=Ethesis&ByArtist=Yes The real problem is getting good bottoms for women. Too many are just skin tights, not traditional looking at all (the one in my image is not a traditional texture, but ...). I couldn't find good hakima pants for a female figure and finally gave up on the quest. http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?Who=communion is where I got the male outfit. I'll have to look at Phil's

Poser 6 needs at least three things: First, multiple levels of undo. Second, a plug-in that works like this, only more seemlessly: http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=25982 A pose/figure/etc. package so people can tell that the P6 figures are at least on par with V3/M3 (I suspect P5 is, but there is no where near the same support -- I'd buy textures and such for P5 male and female models like I buy other textures and character faces, but I don't see them for sale the same way).

I'd like to see stronger libary management systems in place, as well as easier content import (I know, unzip to your base director or just buy DAZ and let them do it, but you know what I mean). On the other hand, I think it is a great sign that they are in a development cycle and asking for input. Any clues on what SR 4 will include?
