Here's a post I made over at Daz and wanted to post here to hopefully get a few more to input on this. Hope you don't mind, but I'm having a bad time figuring out the 1.5 version. If anyone uses IPB 1.5 I would very much appreciate your input here. Daz forum Nuts & Bolts post - I need help in better understanding how to use Daz Software Injection Pose Builder 1.5 and Poser 5. After downloading and reading all the tutorials here, I'm still confused with this version. All of the tutorials I've seen is for the 1.3 or below version. What is throwing me off the most is how to use the "link libraries" that have the various figures listed, what they are and how to use them. Specifically, I need to know the following: 1. I have Victoria 3.0 and all the head/body morphs from Daz. A custom character I made was created and saved in the figures library of Poser 5. Next, I created some poses with that custom character saving them in the pose library and saved both with and without the morphs. 2. Now, I need to know how to use IPB 1.5 so I can process both my main character and pose files so I can inject and/or remove the custom character morphs/poses I made into a new victoria 3.0 base figure. In simple terms, take the base victoria 3.0, inject my custom settings into her body and face that were made using the dials. How do I package the entire character made of various parts? I think it works like this, but correct me if I'm wrong: I used a body texture from Daz HiMaps Victoria 3.0 pack and hair from a 3rd party source and it's part of my character's looks. So, to legally get this to look like my character I would make the morph INJ/RMV files that gives the base Victoria 3.0 the features of the character and distribute that, then in a readme file tell them what they need for hair and body and where to get it. Basically, you say that you include the morphs but need to buy or download X hair from Y person/web site and use X body texture from the Daz HiMaps pack, correct? Thanks for the help!

"Is your texture folder in RuntimeTexturesBed textures? " Yes, it is. "So when you load the '!Main Body' you can't see it at all? " That's correct. It does show up as being added in the scene list as stated, but nothing is displayed. "and when you exported it was there also a mtl file?" Yes, both an ".obj" and "mtl" file were created. Inside the original .zip folder was the runtime/libraries/character/Beds folder. I re-copied it by hand in case it was corrupt. When I add the main body to a new scene, I can see the object selected as only a highlight where it should be, but not the actual object. In DazStudio, it appears as a selected object type circle for you to move, etc, but nothing appears there. Thanks, still trying to figure it out too. I'm new to Poser and this has been a good learning tool if nothing else. :) Hopefully we will find the answer.

Hello, Thanks for the quick reply. First, I'm using a Windows XP PC, 2.3 GHZ AMD, 2 GIG of Corsair XMS Pro (2,2,2,5) memory, 2 WD 74 GIG Raptors in Raid 0, 1 Maxtor 300 GB drive dedicated to Poser files and content. Second, I tried your outline above, but it didn't help. I'll admit I'm new and just starting out in the Poser world. I didn't know to export it as you mentioned in "obj" format so I missed that step. However, even following the advice in your post, the same thing happened. Third, I have some more details for you on what's happending. When I examine the contents of my Scene, I find the matt files are not there and it won't load any of them in. The scene has the !Main Body prop, Matress SP and Quilt SP. When I look at the details for each of them, I get "Matress_1" for the matress SP, "Quilt_1" for Quilt SP and "assembled bed main" for "Main Body". None of the bed matts will show up in the scene even though they are visible in the "Bed Matts" folder in the Pose directory. After a scene is exported as is, all I get is the head board and/or footboard and that's it. In fact, the head board isn't even in color or detailed when imported back into a scene. All of the color is in white and no detail at all. Any thoughts here? I've tried everything I know. Also, it was installed as you said with the main Ultimate Bed Set first, then the 6MB update on top of it overwriting the updated files. Thanks for helping and the support, I'll make sure to note the customer service because I only buy from good guys like you. :)

Thanks everyone for the detailed response. I was wondering if anyone here with Poser 4 or 5 experience has tried DazStudio? Since I'm just starting out learning, I wondered what the difference was between them and which would be best to learn on? Does Poser 5 have that much more in it and better renders? One last item, I was wondering how I can save completly finished renders with Poser 5 in either JPG or PNG format? I'm sure it's something simple I'm overlooking since this is my first trial. randym77 - Right now I'm just testing the waters. I mainly enjoy female sci-fi type themes and wanted to try to do some real detailed female character work once I learn more. Also, I'm hoping to do some women of Star Trek type characters. Any help with add-ons there or such would be appreciated. I found a Princess Lea for Poser and it's very nice by a great artist it would seem. Thanks again!
