Thread: "Hey Darth, Why don't you just do it yourself?" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Darth- The create option works if you select an area of the image first- but I think you want to pick the paintbrush tool, then open the brushes palette, pick one of the soft anti-aliased brushes from the second row and then double click on the brush dot & set the options as I mentioned. You then just hold the mouse button down and Photoshop will keep pumping the freckels out, with the spacing set high you will not get lines, you get dots (or dabs)

Do you know how to set up a freckle brush in Photoshop? Double click on the right size brush to get the options, set the spacing to near the maximum. The actual spacing will vary depending on how fast you move the brush. Paint on a layer, or a bunch of layers and vary the layer opacity to control the effect- use different size brushes too. The dress still needs work before it is ready for prime time, Poser has a lot of problems with skirts and dresses (and kilts), I've been working on getting a little more movement before the legs pop out of the material. I've also just gotten 3D Studio Max, so there is a tendency to want to re-do everything I've done in the dreaded RDS! I do all my serious renderings in Bryce, even though it is a pain bringing the parts in. I really, really like Bryce and Poser, it is a shame Poser is so buggy, and how none of MC stuff works togeather very well, and hopefully sombody will buy them and fix them (but I'm not holding my breath!). I have put the shoes up at my new Webpage, just now. http://victorian.fortunecity.com/impressionist/1030/

I could only post if it Allerleirauh says its O.K., as it's his map with the colors modified

I should have the shoes up this weekend, as soon as I find a free homepage site I can live with. Remember "The tall man with one shoe" movie (either version)?

I exported a Bryce material, but it was over 8 Mb zipped, and I'm not going to put that one up on from a modem! I did use a bump map, made from the texture, as you suggested, I remembered that just now. Good idea about the 2 hair pieces, I'll have to try it.

Diane- I moved the hair object around quite a lot, I can't stand that center part, but I didn't add anything. Seems to me I resaved the transmap as a smaller Photoshop file too, but that shouldn't make any difference. The hair is still too thin, see the necklace through the rear view? You wouldn't see that in real life. I shudder to suggest more layers, this thing is already a killer on Bryce render time!
Thread: DOES ANYONE KNOW THE MAX 3 TO POSER .obj SETTINGS... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Colm- Try a scale of 1000 when you bring it in to 3DS, and .001 when you export it out. Export as polygons, not triangles. You need at least 6 decimals for the export.
