To whom it may concern; Having only recently become aware of the limitations of Mac regarding exe files, I must apologise for being a bit busy with real life and not finding the time to make zip versions of the two products we have in exe format available in zip format. However, since both Worldz and the Foreground Tool are due to be updated with improved versions within the next six weeks, we felt that that would be a good time to add in the zip versions alongside the exe versions at that time. Anyone who has already bought either of these products will get a free copy of the upgraded version of their original purchase, as will anyone who has received either of these products as a gift. Mosca. You should by now have received my IM with the URL to download a copy of Foreground Tool in zip format. As I said in the IM, should you have any further difficulties, please get in touch, and I will be more than happy to work with you to resolve them. Andrew Rolfe (andix), 3dmodelz

Dan.... so when you going to lift the requirement that says all stuff sold at DAZ by brokered artists (effectively) has to be exclusive? thats why we're not in your store....oh, and the crappy percentage of course.
Thread: Anybody else been to Daz yet today? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
so when will they stop requiring vendors to carry exclusive products? won't be going anywhere near there until they do........

Blimey!Firstly, thank-you Marque for your rather enthusiatic introduction to this thread, really glad to hear you like it.
Now, with regard to Poser 5.....as most of the people who have posted are aware, we are in England, and Poser 5 didnt start shipping to Europe until the 18th September, and at current exchange rates, it's going to cost us just over $600, which we will be taking up with Curious Labs as to why it's over $250 more expensive in Europe. So, bearing in mind that all 3 of us have day-jobs, families, responsibilities, and that 3dmodelz is only a part time thing, we simply cannot afford to lay our hands on P5 yet. However, we have been working with CastleDev Group (thanks Lynn and Debra), who have given us enough information about Poser 5 for us to start working towards updating both the Foreground Tool and WorldZ, so they work in P5 the same as they work in P4.
About the Foreground Tool in general, Jackson is quite correct, the filters are parented to the Main Camera. We felt this to be the best way of applying them, rather than have the end user have to position them to a camera, which had us scratching our heads for a couple of days. The reason there are two versions is that the cameras are positioned slightly differantly in P4 and Pro Pack. A slight movement along the z-trans, backwards and forewards may sometimes be necessary for layering multiple filters-if opened in their default positions, they all try and occupy the same space. Pokeydots, about the Master-Filter question, thats a small oversight on our part (hangs head in shame). The prop itself is fairly straight-forward, the bits that required hard work were the positioning and of course the textures and trans-maps. As such, we just cloned one prop and set it up differantly according to the respective filter effect. Mon1Alpha, the reason for our ridiculously low prices is due mostly to our backgrounds. We are pleased that people think enough of our products to buy them, and that they appear to like them. But we are always aware that people are parting with their hard earned cash, and we would be devastated if anyone felt they hadn't got their money's worth for any of our products.
As soon as we get a copy of Poser 5, we will be going overtime on checking both The Foreground Tool, and WorldZ, and if an updated version is necessary, or even a Poser 5 specific version, then we will contact everyone who has bought these products, and ensure any updated versions are available to you at no charge.

ok, open question to anyone who might know...... how is it, that poser 4 cost 200 DOLLARS to US customers and 200 POUNDS to UK customers....the equivelant of roughly 300 dollars at current exchange rates. And are we in Britain, going to have to pay extra for poser 5 when it finally starts getting shipped here?

Alan, if this is to the same quality as previous items, then I imagine it's going to be stunning. Drop me a line sometime mate....I've got a half-formed idea that might interest you for a bit of collaberation.
Thread: 3DModelz.com Releases Worlds of Chivalry | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
The value-meister strikes again. Ol Hard Ass is a great character, and we'd like to thank Greybro for being kind enough to use it in this promotion. So what ya waiting for? Hightail it on over to Poser City, and grab your slice of this superb deal.
Thread: Worldz of Chivalery | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Right, testing is finished, and the outcome is that this will be an add-on pack, containing the new WorldZ geometry required, but not any of the original WorldZ geometry. It will also contain the 8 props previously mentioned, as well as all the new textures required for WorldZ of Chivalry. And for any WorldZ owners who havent got a copy yet, there is Urban WorldZ add-on pack available in the Free Stuff here at Renderosity, Poser City, and, of course, 3dmodelz.
Thread: Worldz of Chivalery | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Greybros got it. Basically, this is a big props pack that as a bonus contains a version of WorldZ. Twelve bucks for eight props? Thats 1.50 a prop, bargain by any standards, so it's not really a case of buying WorldZ all over again. This is a more specialised product than WorldZ itself, and as such, will not have as wide an appeal. And as Greybro points out, had we released this as aprops pack, the price would have been higher.
