I have a copy of Virtual Makeover but it is useless to me now because it won't run on Win2000 or WinXP. And the company has apparently abandoned all support, there is no upgrade likely coming anytime soon.

x2000, a simple apology will do. Obviously you have upset more than just one person, so you can't say it's just someone trying to get you. You seem like the type of person that would hold a piece of food in front of a dog and keep pulling it away every time he tries to get it, for hours and hours at a time. Yes, people are very excited about Poser 5, does this bother you to the point that you have to tease or mock them? If anyone needs to get a life it's YOU! We are just anxious about getting Poser 5, we are not abusing anyone (except ourselves) You on the other hand have nothing better to do than get people upset. Perhaps you should go and watch tv, read a book or wash your sticky fingers! Here's another vote for locking down threads that are of absolutely no use to the community and ones that go even further to have a negative impact as well.

I think along with people who post warez requests, people who post messages to cause greivous mental anguish should be banned as well. No smileys here either. Once was sort of amusing, twice is just rude, three strikes and you're out!

Okay, I get your points. I don't want to escalate this into a case of "question wars" :) But as aleks said it sure would be nice to know if you could continue to render figures in max. Well, for now, I'll try and put my mind on other things like paying off bills and world events. ;)

I'm patient too, but I find it kind of unsettling that Steve and others at Curious Labs are so quick to answer all the other questions except for this one. What's the big mystery?

Well, I think if that were the case, it would have been "big news" right along with hair, cloth and new rendering features. But we have neither got a yes or no from them. I emailed tech support and was told basically just to wait and see.

Well, that sort of answers my question. I thought that Poser 5 would include all the features that are now in the Pro Pack (plugins and all), but I guess they are not.

A virus can pick up someone's email list and use that list to send out more viruses supposedly coming from that person's email. I just got a blank email from Renderosity.com with a virus attached to it. I've also had emails bounce back to me (supposedly one's that I have sent) saying the address can't be found. So what happens is, a virus can stay on various servers, spreading itself, long after the virus has been cleaned off of your computer - if you even had it to begin with. So please don't go jumping to conclusions, I'm sure the more reputable websites and brokers around here have better things to do than scare away their own customers by sending out viruses to them.

AC - I may not know much about how porn sites are run, but I do know a little on how graphic artists and their clients do business. What's typically done is a contract is drawn up with an agreed amount of money, the client(you)provides exact specifications of what is expected from the artist. Sometimes a mockup is done and also revisions are part of the contract until the client is satisfied. The artist will ask for a per project amount or more typically a per hour charge. I believe your unprofessional attitude and lack of experience in dealing with graphic artists might tend to rub people the wrong way. Hopefully the person you find to do this job has enough sense to go through all the proper steps of negotiation so there won't be any surprises (or court cases) involved.
