Thanks everyone, I've been reading this forum for a long time and have seen what wonderful results happen when people ask for advice here. I am so happy with the help I got and how it changed my render. Thanks for the help. Ang

Oh I love the walls and ceiling. So awesome. I'm having trouble figuring out what the blue line along the walls is? This is a great room so far. Ang

Thanks All, *EricofSD, I d/l'd Metasequoia quite some time ago but have been busy trying to learn Bryce, I think it may be time to start learning that one. I never thought about the TIR will give that a try too. *madmax, will try your suggestion too, really dumb question what does additive do to something? I've heard it mentioned but never bothered to look into it. *Rayraz, I doubled checked my light settings and I used the default which was surface. I did notice that cast shadows was a default as well, if I uncheck that because little lights don't really need to cast shadows in a tree do you think that will speed things up any? Thanks for the advice. Also are there any tutorials out there for basic metasequoia modelling. I'd like to follow something first to get a feel for the program. Ang

wow, I've got word and Bryce both open as we speak. Haven't had a problem. Hope I don't pay for saying that.

Just one more suggestion. Peggy Walters mentioned LVS classes. They were fantastic. Helped me a lot and the instructor is featured in Susan Kitchen's book. I've also been finding that if you stay here long enough, AgentSmith gives out wonderful tips and how-to's. I'd love to see a link to a compilation of these. Thanks AS. Ang

wow, it seems like there is the under 20 crowd and the over 40 crowd. Anyone inbetween 20 & 40? hehe, I fall into the over 40 and like ICM have a lot of trouble remembering back that far. Selective memory or just senility who knows.

I borrowed a copy from my local library and loved it so much I purchased a used copy from Amazon. No regrets it was like new and is a wonderful book and applies just as well to Bryce 5. If you live in a city area check with the library to see if they have it and check it out first that way. Ang25

Thanks Velvet, This was intended to be a first snowfall of the season thus the leaves. But I think it doesn't look right because, as my daughter pointed out, the picture is too heavy in that corner. I'll give it a try with a bare tree and see how that looks. Thanks mboncher, I was just telling a coworker that I would like to try decorating the tree with victorian candles using pidjy's demonstration of candlelite. LOL, I guess I need to move my saucer sled, looks like its not obvious what it is, maybe I'll try it in the foreground somewhere. More suggestions are welcome, Ang

Thanks. I played around with footprints in the snow before doing this image. I got the idea from an earlier post on how to do a path in the terrains. LOL, that santa is really a plastic sled I made. I'm considering making a bird feeder but I haven't been able to find any 3D small birds, like sparrows or cardinals to go with it. Ang
Thread: nudity | Forum: Bryce
Well, I just took a Poser tour with my horny husband today. We specifically were looking for nudity tags in the thumbnails but found a lot of thumbnails that didn't specify this and also a lot of thumbnails that showed the nudity upfront. Hmmm, I have no objection to nudity (otherwise, I wouldn't have been looking) but I do believe in guidelines, such as specifying it in the thumbnails. How hard is that. Also, I would have thought breasts were considered part of genitalia but unless a Mod missed it I came across one poser scene where one woman was holding (fondling) another woman's breasts. Oh well, so much for the rules. I agree with Vile, there should be some standards. And I don't have a problem with nudity, but it should be tasteful and it should be appropriately marked. the whole purpose of a thumbnail is to give only a portion of the whole pic and entice the viewer to click on it to see what the rest of the pic looks like. Come on, anyone looking for nudity doesn't need to see it in the thumbnail, if the tag is there they will follow it to the big picture. But what am I thinking, oh that everyone here is mature. If that were the case then this issue wouldn't be an issue. LOL.
