hmm... I don't get that problem, it may be a browser problem. Have you tried to clear memory/disk cache? What broswer and version? interesting..... looks to be covered in blood. -Rob

wyrwulf, didn't change a thing... if you can't view the image in this message, you should be able to see it on my website. You actually see a red image? hmm... URL - http://home.hawaii.rr.com/rbtwhiz/main.html - in the "CG" section -Rob

Kate, Actually... the dead tree on the "future" side of the river is the result of the fighting which has taken place after the announcement by Meta. Basically, what I was trying to show was that if the fighting continues... and the community is increasingly involved, poser's future looks remarkably similar to its past. Bongo, thanks. -Rob

Thank you all for your feedback, I really appreciate all of your comments. The image has plenty of other hidden perceptions I chose not to explain, to avoid dredging up an unfortunate situation. For instance, the dead tree on the near side of the river (which is supposed to be the side of poser's future), or the fact that the eagle is swooping in the direction of the past, or the fact that the snake is backed up against a post instead of back onto the bridge... and the list goes on. Just food for thought... Again, thanks for the feedback. -Rob
Thread: New Poser Woman in the Works! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The plan is to work on the male version of the new model after the woman is released. There are a few folks that are VERY busy with it... One in particular... -Rob
Thread: IK for bandolero | Forum: Poser Technical
Bob, Make the bandolero part of the same .obj as the gun. Create your .cr2 so that the bandolero is something like a tail from the gun. Create an IK chain with the section of bandolero nearest the gun as the main link, in sucession add the others until you have the free end as the goal. Parent the gun to the arm of the figure. Make sure IK is on for your gun/bandolero prop. Move the "goal" end of the bandolero to the desired position... you should be able to now move the arm, which will move the gun, which will move the bandolero, giving you the effect you want. This is of course without actually seeing the files... but in theory, it should work. I'm actually working on something right now that is similar... If it don't work, let me know and I'll suggest another route. :) -Rob

Serene, I'm glad it worked for you. I spend most of my time now (since my signing with Zygote) building new figures. I've run into several interesting problems in the process... I'm pleased to see what I've learned can also help others in the community with similar roadblocks. -Rob
Thread: HELP!!! Error when loading some figures!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Imaginos, Perhaps you didn't understand my reply. The "example" I gave was just that, an example... I wasn't saying you (read someone other than myself) are using any particular version, only that you were using an older version than the figure was created for... The rest of the example goes like this: figure built in 3.01, open in 3.0 = error figure built in 4.0, open in 3.0 or 3.01 = error figure built in 4.01, open in 3.0, 3.01 or 4.0 = error solution = change version number, Poser will disregard information that does not comply with what Poser understands for that particular version. Maybe I shouldn't have left the other options to deductive reasoning... -Rob
Thread: HELP!!! Error when loading some figures!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The cause is... your using an older version of poser than the version the figure was created in. Example: You use Poser 3.01, and try to load a figure made for Poser4. -Rob

The cr2 is calling groups in the obj that don't exist, or at least not the way Poser wants them. Often the problem is something as easy as there being a ":2" (or another number) after the name of the actor. Example, the cr2 reads "actor head:2" instead of "actor head". Find the .rsr for your figure, rename it with adding ".bak" on the end of it. Open the cr2 in a text editor capable of handling large files like EditPad. Within the first few lines you'll see what I'm talking about. Do a find/replace of ":2" (or whatever the number is) with "" (yes, that is a blank quote). After you have replaced all of them, save the result with a new name. Start Poser and load the new figure, poser will build a new rsr (provided your group names are correct) and your problem should be gone. -Rob

Richard, Re-distribution of any of my work without my permission is prohibited. On the very page you downloaded the file from, the above is very clearly stated. Please do not come to this or any other forum and ask others to infringe on my rights as the author. I replied to you with a suggestion via email to re-download the file. I also told you the .obj was not included on purpose, and explained why. In the .zip is the geometry .rsr, when placed in the correct folder works without a problem. I also asked if you were on a Mac and if that was why you were having problems. You did not reply to my question, instead you only replied with "I HAVE POSER 4.0 AN 3.0 TRYING TO USE IN 4.0 MAYBE THETAS THE PROBLEM". The fact that your using Poser4 instead of 3 does not make the .rsr not load. I personally checked the file upon receiving your email (after archiving the original) and had no problems loading it. If anyone on a PC has used the item in question and has had a problem, please let me know. -Rob
Thread: POSER PLUGINS! (sorta) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Jeff, I have never had a .cr2 do that to me. The only time I've ever gotten a "File in Use" error is when trying to delete a geometry .rsr while Poser is running. -Rob
