Well, if a tree falls with no one to see it, it still makes a sound. In other words, saying nothing about it, or saying something about it, its still posted and still tasteless. I just think we can tell ourselves (who find this offensive) that the artist of it is the one with these views. And they only reflect on him/her (not the community). I persoanlly am not concerned if more view it. I am more concerned with the mindset and attitude toward these obviously twisted ideas the artist has. Sometimes there is just not much you can do in these situations. But I am willing to go with Jen here. Full ignore of this artist. -B

I believe I know what image you are talking about. I saw your comment as well. I know this is very unpopular, but I am all for an admin removing this type of image. There is not artistic intent with this stuff. Just an effort to upset people and cause a stir. This is as much about art as Jack the Ripper's victims were. I looked at the artists (if you can call the person that) gallery. There are at least 3 such images there like this one. I assume they are looking for attention. At the least, this person should have left a comment with an explanation. So if we (the viewer) is missing something in the images point, it could be corrected. I also wondered if these images are meant to be Anti-France?.. since 2 of them contain french symbols/structures.
Thread: Has anyone used Wild & Messy Hair in bryce? | Forum: Bryce
Anytime you have trans, refections and volume materials/settings you will notice an increased render time. Adding more lights to a scene will also increase your render time. But glass and volume mats seem to be the worst render hogs. -B

I have used it. I didn't have that problem. Although, after the render was done, I post worked the hair too. Maybe try taking the trans pic into Photoshop, etc and use some contrast on it to darken the black area.. Wish I could be more help. I just didn't get that issue. -Bruce

Thread: bad saves or crashes | Forum: Bryce
I have had this issue as well. For me, I have noticed that complex scenes seem to cause this alot when I just Save the image (ctrl+S). Since a few of these lost files on bad saves, now I always "Save As". It seems to avoid any errors like this. I just rename the first image with a #1 after it (e.g. Tree1.br5). From then on, Bryce will automatically add the new # each time I go to save as (i.e. tree2, tree3, etc). As I progress through the image. I just delete the older versions. Haven't had a bad save since. Just my $0.02. -B

You're a class act Stefano! Really. I appreciate that you appreciate the situation. As you said, WMD having the same amount of votes as Hobbits is a bit over the top. But that all being said. You have nothing to be embarassed about. Just those that clicked the "VOTE FOR THIS IMAGE" button on it should be (to some extent). Again, youre a stand up guy, and I am happy to see you post this. Best to you and your work in the future. -Bruce
Thread: Ok maybe this is obvious but... | Forum: Bryce
I usually work around 640x480, or 800x600. Like said above, helps speed up test renders, then I Render to Disk at whatever size and DPI I want.. Usually no smaller now than 1500x?...
