Thanks for the link, drapak12. Now I have that and Phantom3D's rigs to look forward to. (You ARE going to sell them to partially recompense your efforts, aren't you, Phantom3D? [grin]

Very impressive. I can't wait to buy this rig m'self.
Yes, previous riggers made the same mistake that flyers made studying birds: they felt they had to duplicate the method to duplicate the results. Phantom3D, like the Wright Brothers and others, looked at the underlying principles instead.
Well done, sir!
(Now I have to go back and catch up on the thread to see how it all started.)
Thread: Usefull for poser users : Argile (new program) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've been trying out the trial version of Argile, and other than some frustration at my lack of sculpting skills, I'm fairly pleased. I'm interested primarily for the ability to apply photographic textures to Poser figures. (On a fan film budget, Poser stuntpeople are much less expensive than the real thing!)
My biggest problem at the moment is being a newbie at Poser, I am having problems getting the head morphs (just trying Michael 3 at the moment) back into Poser. I end up with these rather hideous explosions instead of faces.
For those who have successfully brought a morphed Poser head back into Poser---how do you do it? [rueful smile]
Thanks!

So, one could theoretically create a colored sphere (a different color for each light to make it easier to keep track), point the light at the sphere with the "Point At" function, and use that to control the light's aim with some precision?
Thread: I'm still not clear on eyebrows | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you, everyone, for assisting a newbie on this newly revived thread. [rueful smile]
I've learned a little more about the program and its limitations, I've learned a couple of work arounds; it's all good.

I think that that decision should be left to the person making the render not the content creator.
Very true: the decision itself should be left to the person making the render. However, the opinion, and the background supporting, are valuable as well.
I prefer to have options, and make my own decisions. But it's always nice to have additional information to help inform those decisions. :-)
Thread: I'm still not clear on eyebrows | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There seem to be a lot of transmaps and texture maps for female eyebrows. As a newbie, I'm having trouble finding anything for M3 and others. The "eyebrows" that seem to come with M3 look like Groucho's painted-on moustache. Or am I overlooking something?
Thread: hey all i just found a cool link!!!! | Forum: Freestuff
Is Mr. Sharkey around to be asked? Most trails I've seen so far appear to have been cold for a couple of years or more.
Thread: How to remove ears??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I mean making a morph from scratch. Which figure are you working with? If I have that figure, I'll make a morph for you and post it, it isn't really that hard.
Sounds like a useful tutorial, to me. I also need the ability to make figures go earless, and lacking your knowledge, I am trying to find pre-existing morphs. Which has been somewhat problematic, so far.

Quote - I did some textures for the MFD a while back - you're welcome to have them! :)
Beautiful work!

Beautiful work, Barcode! I wish I had skills at that level; I have a lot of TNG Star Trek stuff I need. Or rather, the fan-made series I work with needs it . . .
