Thread: Buxom and Voluptupous morphs for V3RR? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sorry Jules. Unless they changed it since two weeks ago, V3 RR LE as comes with DAZStudio just has 'Skinny', 'Rubenesque', and a few limb stretch FBM's. I came from there for this project (D|S is target application for the model).
DAZ is clever enough not to let such holes in their shopfront.

@ Phantast: I agree. IHMO DAZ is shooting in it's own foot there with their vague legal threats. And, I do not understand the background either. The V3RR package contains some pretty odd morphs that are quite complex but hardly useful. Yet, thw buxom and voluptupus morphs are used frequently, but not included.
@pakled: I found Willdials'Â magnet packs all right and with a litle work they indeed do the trick, be it at some more effort.

Thank you. I know how to use magnets, make morphs, etc.
The point is that if I want V3RR to 'stand in' for 'real' V3, the morphs should be identical as far as practicable. I believe they are, for the greater part except for a few details that are easily made up for, or not really relevant. Besides, for the small scale morphs it need not be exactly sililar to the effect on 'real'V3. The two 'large' morphs however affect the fit of clothes. I can sit down and make my own Buxom and Voluptuous such as to 'fill' the morphed clothes, but I just wondered if someone more skilled in this particular form art had not already done this.
Thread: Female Realism | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As for the realism of breasts and male genitalia of out-of the box figures, it is good to realize that the fact they have no clothes on does not mean they represent nudes. They are, I think, modelled with the intention of being dressed.Â
Breasts as modelled have by default a shape commendurate with being cupped in a bra. In a way, it would be inconveinient when default breasts are sagged out because they would poke trough the clothes. There are 'natural' morphs one can apply otherwise. And, of course, the 'barbie' figure is a recognized style.
The male dangly bits are in a form commensurate with comfy suspension. For the male figures the gen-nogen option helps.

Thread: Poser 6 crashing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Drivers are the latest versions. I was using Hexagon 2 with no difficulties. It were the movies in the Hexagon manual that made me decide to install Quicktime.
I had removed the VRML support plugin from Poser to speed up startup. I was told it had something to do with Quicktime. Re-installing the VRML plugin did not solve the problem. Throwing out Quicktime (with ITunes aaargh!! I never asked for that!) did.
Thread: Poser 6 crashing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Indeed it looks like Quicktime messes up Poser and/or the graphic card settings. Today IÂ had same error as Mikesimoni decribes above. Poser 6 just vanishes during startup.
I had Poser 6 running fine for a few months, installed Quicktime yesterday and indeed suddenly Poser vanishes during startup. I too have a (rather old) Dell PC, but with NVIDIA Quadro4 900 XGL.
I uninstalled Quicktime and rebooted (real cold reboot, so really off and on recommended). Poser works as before, but no quicktime.

Thread: Does DAZ 3D starter pack contain full set of V3 RR head/body morphs? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you wraith.
I made a comparison list between V3 RR and V3 h/b morphs. Most is there, so most of the normal V3 chars should work as long as there are no built-in custom morphs and you re-direct to the right mesh.Â
The comparison list gets messed-up when I paste it in the message. (hence the deleted message) When there is a wider interest I can mkake it 'publishable'.Â

Thank you, Acadia.
The thing is: I kinda like the Reduced resolution version because it does not hog up my PC so much and it renders more quickly. I hardly do big size pic's.
The platinum club was something I looked at. In combination with the bonus and the Hexagon offer etc. is could be worth-while.
Thread: Poser runtime programs? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
@barrowlass: Generally the .cr2's and the .pp2's have a relative path name: ":Runtime:Geometries:whateveryouwant.obj", so it will work. The fact that Poser ginds things in other runtimes is because it searches the runtimes it knows till it finds them. Fustrating is that if there is an error in the file name, Poser starts a scanning process that will take forever while you are waiting and then says it cannot find the file. I am not sure whether cramiming it all in the main runtime will give the desired gain in loading speed, so I wanted to see if there are some reactions form people who may have experience or their ideas before I do this.
Thread: Poser runtime programs? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I too use multiple runtimes sorted by character or application. Where items fit in more than one lib I use (windows) shortcuts to avoid the drag of lib switching. I consider moving all the referenced files (geometry, texture directories) of the dedicated libs to my main runtime. I think this will save load time of the item (poser not needing to search the whole tree) while not increasing Poser startup time. Anyone done this and wants to share experiences?
Thread: flattening body parts | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you all for your help.
I tried magnets, of course, but they are a chore to use this way on curved body part objects like breasts that will deform heavily when pressed towards a flat surface. To make a curved surface flat with a magnet, the falloff curve is to be tailored to match the form of the breast. Since the breasts of a good modern model are not circular-symmetric, there is no good solution.
I tried to locate the Eureka script, but I could not find it. What comes near to it is NoPoke. That script searches the limiting prop geometry from a mesh. For my purpose it could be much more simple because my limiting geometry is decribed mathematically: Y==0). It basically does the same thing, though.
Was the Eureka script simpler; a predecessor of NoPoke maybe? If so I would appreciate any pointers where to find it.
In the mean while I will try the Wings route.
Again, thank you all.

Thread: Some valuable hints on NOT SELLING YOUR PRODUCT!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
...where you want to be sure you order the carburetter with the 2 bolt mounting flange for the July 2002 model and not the three bolt mounting flange for the June 2002 model, Yes, exactly. And also may the database provide you with the current addy of the maker, who in the mean while changed hosting providers three times and changed his tradename, yes. Also, it may be very useful to see that there are other and maybe more appropriate textures than 194632 and 759202 to fit your object. You may find the pointer to the shop of that japanese artist you never heard of, and you will be glad you have this number because you may not be able to tell him what you want. Need I go on?
