Anything to help, Paul. :) "Picking my brain" forces me to resurface some of the things that get pushed to the back shelf. There is alot of info to remember when working with P4, knowing when to use it can be tricky too... -Rob
Thread: Creating custom figures in Poser4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's a bug that should be addressed in the patch. From what the MetaDudes said this last week in chat, it should be almost done. As much as I too would like the patch ASAP, I'd rather have a decent fix than a buggy one. There are a few work arounds... but without the proper tools, you'll only give yourself a headache. If you don't have a modeling package, the easiest way would be to save a .pz3 with your upper body fig parented to your lower body fig. Open the .pz3 in Dan Wilmes's "Cr2Edit" and convert it to a .cr2. once its in that format it can be used in P4. -Rob
Thread: Almost here... (figure/image) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Decided to whip up a quick image with it... "and God said, let there be FLIGHT, and there was, and he saw that is was good..." (yes, I know, the words don't really say that). Title: "Let there be flight..." Programs used: P4, B4, RDS 5.5, Rhino3d 1.1b, & Painter6. -Rob

Thanks all... like I said its been a lot of work, but it feels good to be getting feedback. Look for more "obsessive" detail in the figures/props to follow... Great tools make all the difference in the world! -Rob

Thanks Diane, Radart & Paul. FINALLY, the modeling and poserizing are complete. The handlebars, forks, crank, pedals and wheels are all poseable. All the parameters work just as a bike would too. The only thing left is the t-map now... UV is already built, just working on actual map. BTW, rendering was done in RDS 5.5... -Rob

Thread: In Poser model, don't call the ---.obj & the ---.cr2 the same | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Anthony, If you zip the files with recursive directories, you wouldn't have that problem... you could name the files whatever you wanted. You'd also make it a little easier for the person d/ling. Just a thought... -Rob
Thread: Free Posable Owl Posted, and thanks for comments on Gallery Pic | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Beautiful. Its that simple. Birds of prey are wonderful creatures, and your owl is no exception. Thank you for the time you've obviously spent on it. -Rob
Thread: a whale serie | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Jon Cambell is the creator of those whales.. .cr2 and .obj are all you need. Poser will build the .rsr for pc's. If P4 doesn't open the file... its because the path is incorrect. humpback .obj goes in :Runtime:geometries:humpback spermwhale .obj goes in :Runtime:geometries:spermwhale -Rob
Thread: New figure soon... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thom, The image above somewhat distorts the actual structure of the bike. Its actually modeled from a profile image of a "Jay Miron Hydramatic" built by Schwinn. http://www.schwinn.com/99/bike/hydra.html Its not exactly like it, but the image on that page was used as the template for placement of the crutial elements. Scaling of the model could very well give the look of a cruiser... Once done, it'll be located at PoseAholics Anonymous -Rob

R.S.O.B. Not only the tattoo's but the tattoo gun as well... -Rob BTW, thanks for the plug Jeff. :)
Thread: New figure... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
bloodsong, The "figure" is actually the bodyboard, by figure I mean it belongs in the figure library because its poseable. The dude is already up at R.S.O.B. (my other site). However, there will be a .cr2 that was actually a converted (hand weeded) .pz3. So the pose for the guy, conforming shorts and the bodyboard are already set to the pose you see in the pic. -Rob

We have a winner! hehe... yes, the other eels are um, well.., um, slightly disturbed? :) Not to mention the other creatures of the deep (soon to be seen in future renders). -Rob
