Running Poser as Administrator is a real security threat as python scripts can be run from poses, figures etc without the user being aware
Thread: export/import settings Blender to Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My only difference would be that I deselect "Write Normals" as Poser (I believe) recalculates normals anyway and excluding them reduces the file size a little. Oh, and I tend to work at x100 scale when I'm modelling in blender so my scale setting would be 0.01, But if I'm just, say adding thickness to a exported simulated garment I work at x4 so for that I output at 0.25

Thread: Having issues with GoZ integration with regards to SubD | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
If this issue is being looked at by Bondware, could they please implement it at the obj level so that those of us that use Blender et al rather than ZBrush could also take advantage of HD Morphs, that would be great, a GoB would also be appreciated although I am quite happy to just use export / morph import.
TBH I'm surprised that even GoZ works with a posed figure rather than zeroed, I have colorcurvature's script (which is excellent BTW) but that has to do a lot of pre / post calculation to import a "posed" morph (although if we can now export a full figure and import an FBM that might be easier going forward as seams will no longer be an issue
Thread: Need Verification on Possible Eye Material Bug | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
@fightingWolf I still think it is an issue with Poser not being able to find maps, you mentioned you had new hardware etc and you aren't having this problem on other computers. It is possible that you haven't copied, for example, the textures subfolder for a particular material. What search depth have you set in preferences?
Thread: White Eyes in Poser 2014 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Does the eye surface on the one that doesn't work have any maps (probably reflection). If so make sure they actually exist on your drive in the place poser expects them to be
Thread: First Time Simulator | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yep you do get skirts that tight, and on the whole they are not stretchy, so a high stretch resistance, even up to 980 is required, unless the skirt is jersey or lycra in which case you would have a lower stretch resistance but a higher Stretch Damping.
If you want the chair to interact, which you would here probably, make sure that when she is sat, her buttocks don't go below the seat of the chair (I usually flatten the buttocks and depress the seat of the chair with the morph brush. Same applies to her thighs and shins. I would then make sure that such morphs are zero on frame 1 but set on frame 30 (the chair can have the morph throughout.) I would then copy her position from frame 30 to frame 1 so that there is no vertical movement during the sim. I would move the chair back and down on frame 1 so that it moves up into the figure rather than the figure moving down to the chair (much less energy entering the simulation that way) If you are just simulating the skirt (hip in the cloth) then for that skirt you would need to add hips, (possibly addomen) rThigh, lThigh, rShin, lShin to the collision objects and use a low (0.1 to 0.2) offset and depth
Thread: GIMP Forum Requested | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just don't do what I did when first using gimp and needed to search google for how to use masks!
Thread: GIMP 2.10.14 Released | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
And don't forget that Gimp can open exr files. In the past I have deliberately "over exposed" a render and balanced it in gimp.
Thread: Blue Cornea and Glassy Eyeballs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I used Ghostships shader but I added a firefly version simply for preview and then saved out just the eye mats to the library, I then replace the default iris map with whatever map I've chosen and that usually works well
Thread: transparency doesn't work with cloudy (modulated) volume scatter | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It looks like once modulated the rays are treated as if they are transparent rather than volume as the effect is exactly the same as if you have multi layer transparency and not enough transparent bounces. I'm not saying increasing transparent bounces would help but it would explain why the distance within the cube makes a difference.
Thread: New Poser Wishlist | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
@joker2000 are all the leaves in your image inside the cube with the modulated atmosphere? I only ask as the ones at the front appear to be showing correctly, I played with a cloud modulated atmosphere and V4 last night and I had no issue with her eyelashes which is one of the things you mentioned in the original SM thread.
Thread: Superfly in 11.2 - Extremely Long Render Times | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
@graytail, could you re-run the test just using the 1080 but with the other card still in situ?
Edit: Sorry, just re-read and realised you did exactly that!

Yeah, my ram usage was around 2880mb with both cards running.
That's why if you are using multiple cards you are limited to the minimum ram of either card rather than the combined.
Thread: poser 11 banned from running | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Because Poser has been bought by another company and they have provided an update that is required to change the licensing code.
