Thread: OT..Video editing question for some here that might know. | Forum: Bryce
I started with Pinnacle 4 or 5 when it came included with my JVC Camcorder way back when :)
I took up the upgrade offer and got the pro versions.
As far as simplicity and flow it is great for beginners, everything is layed out for you from start to finish.
But I wanted a bit more control so I bought Sony Vegas Pro, adding effects and text seems a bit clunky compared to Pinnacle.
Best advice, is to download the demo versions play with them and see what works for you.
I would also recommend Adobe premier but it is not for the faint of heart.
Thread: ot--dropbox | Forum: Bryce
I use Dropbox to store personal stuff but as well I use the Public Folder to share links with others.
For example if I need to install something for a remote user at work, I'll the put the file in the Public folder and give them a link to it.
Than I can remote into their Laptop and use the link to download the software and install it on their laptop.

Right off the top of my head, I'm thinking perfect for crowd shots on a street, maybe security or something.
Thread: ot help..sd cards | Forum: Bryce
The link to the software that I posted earlier in this post will even recover from the memory of the camera as long as the camera is connected to the PC via USB and it is recognized as a mass storage device.
Thread: Was wondering?! Can you Import a Background into Bryce? | Forum: Bryce
Quote - I still have that program on my HD and from time to time when I need to use an object that I can't find anywhere, I will export it from there as VRML and then into 3D Max to export it out as either 3DS or OBJ... Crude but effective! Really which I could use it in Win 7.
Simply 3D was a joy to use and it made me realise that it would be possible to work with 3D on my computer compared to 3d Max (DOS Version)
My first render was a brick room I built and in the corner was 3 types of spheres, glass, metal and plastic, it looked amazing at that time.
I just realised that my first render was not a Sphere over Water :)
