Martial, Thanks for the nice words about Debra's Caribou, we appreciate it. Just to be sure, I reloaded the caribou - moose morph into Poser from scratch. I assigned the moosetexture.jpg to the entire figure. The render is the result. The moose morphs are in the head. These are the settings that are in the CR2, I didn't change them for my image. The only differance between this render and the other is that I made a bump map from moosetexture.jpg by converting it to Grey scale, doing negative image and saving as a bump map. If you need additional information or help, please send me an email at BillBay@BBay.com Good Luck Bill BBay.com

Doh!... forgot to mention the Moose Morph and Texture are FREE from Lyne's Creations. You must own the Caribou to use them. Thank's Lyne!

Well Darrell, I guess you've dispelled ONE ridiculous Y2K theory... the one about an all consuming tidewave of fire circling the earth as the year changes to 2000 and follows the time until the day ends :) We still have under 12 hours to go here in the NorthEast US, so I guess I can come out of the basement and take off this heavy fire suit... man this is hot! My Best to You and Yours... if we are all here after sundown Bill BBay.com PS.... No I really don't believe any of it... er.. sorta :)

Even if he wants to save a 3DS item as a prop, there must be a figure in the scene. Try it some time... take a empty scene, import a 3DS or obj file and try to save as a prop... no go. Now put any figure in the scene, select the 3DS item and save in the Props library...it should then work.

AND there MUST be a figure in the scene... don't select the figure...but one must be there. Just make the figure invisible if you don't want it in the thumbnail image. Don't ask why... that's just the only way it has ever worked for me. :) BillBay BBay.com

From Altavista again... getting back to the meta tags which are the easiest: "AltaVista's crawler currently recognizes four (4) META tag exclusion options: NOINDEX prevents anything on the page from being indexed. NOFOLLOW prevents the crawler from following the links on the page and indexing the linked pages. NOIMAGEINDEX prevents the images on the page from being indexed but the text on the page can still be indexed. NOIMAGECLICK prevents the use of links directly to the images, instead there will only be a link to the page. Currently, AltaVista will only link to the page." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More information is at: http://www.altavista.com/cgi-bin/query?pg=addurl Happy Holidays Bill BBay.com

A slightly more complex, but effective way to keep the spiders out of your images: (This is a quote from Altavista, but works for almost everyone of them.) "Excluding Pages with robots.txt Our crawler will find any URL connected to the main body of the Web through even one link. If you don't want your entire site to be indexed, we strongly advise that you take advantage of the Robots Exclusion Standard by setting up a robots.txt file. It only takes a minute, and gives you complete control over what fraction of your site is indexed. The file looks like: To exclude your site from all web crawlers use: User-agent: * # directed to all robots Disallow: /cgi-bin/sources To exclude your site AltaVista's web page index: User-agent: scooter # AltaVista web page search Disallow: /cafeteria/lunch_menus/ To exclude your site AltaVista's image, video and audio clip index: User-agent: vscooter # AltaVista Image Search Disallow: /personal/images/ Any URL matching one of these patterns will be ignored by robots visiting your site."
