Yeah pretty much that is it. But one question I guess you used the burn tool to make the darker areas did you use the dodge tool at all in that last example. Also is it wise when doing it this method to smudge the dark areas and highlighted areas to blend them a bit where they meet?
Thread: Critique My Cloth Painting | Forum: Photoshop
Thanks for the tips and advice I will try your technique as well. LOL told ya most the time my folds look like she needs an iron and and ironing board :).
One issue I have though with creating few folds like you suggested is the flat area with no folds how do I handle that to make it fit the image and look real not just a painted blob? The technique I been using basically I paint the shape of the cloth in a grey then use my brush tool set the brush to mutiply with a low setting for dark areas and screen same setting for the higher/highligted areas.
So If i was going to do just 1 or 2 folds on a piece of cloth does brush size matter to make the unfolded areas not look so bad? Meaning just create big folds with a big brush?

Thread: Is there a way to make a mask out of figures face and save it as a prop? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the tips, I will try the grouping thing, never tried it before so it will be an adventure lol. I seen the happy and sad mask and not exactly what I am looking for i need a mask with out an expression lol but I did down load those anyways just in case I need them for another project lol.
Thanks again :)
Thread: Is there a way to resize brushes without pixleitions? | Forum: Photoshop
No i use the slider in the brush tip settings and increase the pixels that way. For example the brush I am using is by default like 300 px and I need to be increased to like 940 px so I move the slider up that way. I am not sure what those short cuts do lol never seen them before not sure if that will help not.
I also tried using the default brush size and then use the transform tool to large it up but that still pixelates and blurs the edges.

Thread: Help with learning to make new textures for poser cloths help finding links | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I guess I was trying to get the shapes and text to look like it was sort of burnt into the fabric as a clothing label. Sort of gives that effect but I also know it will look different depending on lighting. Any ways please critique what should I change on the settings etc etc. I know its pretty plane color eventually I will work up to adding textures from images such as leather, or bubble wrap or what ever maybe learn to add more detail to seams. but I guess this is a start.

Thats a nice tool lol but I'm the type of person that wants to do things the long way so to speak and learn the ends and outs before I grab tools to make things eaiser. If you know what I mean.
i know the basic and what not how to bring stuff in to photoshop use the templates to add color and what not. I guess Im just looking for more advance stuff and how I can use shaders to as someone posted before enhance my textures after I made them up in photoshop and what settings should I start out with my shadders adding no effects if I load in an item that has some set already before I apply my texture.
Thread: Help with learning to make new textures for poser cloths help finding links | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I found a decent tutorial that gets me started with the basic of making a new texture for clothing items and what not but still the shader nodes are interfering when I load some of the products adding their own effects really messing up things when I go to test but I guess I can deal with that later I'm not interested in learning how to use shaders to my created textures yet just want to know what to change to make them as if they where reset to a default setting.

Yeah I look there didnt see anything on taking a template that comes with a product and setting it up and texturing. right now Im just trial and erroring with a few products I have. One problem I noticed is that when I go to test what I done in poser I load the item and some items have defualt shader nodes set and effects what Im trying to accomplish this is why I wanted to know some tips on what other do.
Do they go in and reset the shaders somehow if so what do they turn down? colors change? etc. Last time I texture somethign was way back in poser 4 and you just had the simple material room. and you can make bump maps and trans map I know that stuff sort of . but now people make specular maps and all kinds of other shader settings they use to change the effect of what they retextured. and this is what I'm trying to learn. :(

Thanks for the info guys, I just read through all that forum thread on Faceshop vs Facegen and seems facegen from Deecey results seemed best but yes to pricey for me at the moment. So I guess If someone out there that has the program and would like to help me out and generate the morph Im lookng for Im willing to pay for their time if they would like.
I will say this after reading up on this and those that actually use other programs other then facegen and faceshop to remodel or whatever to create these morphs I have a much much higher respect for the results they get. Anyways thanks again for the information guys it was very helpful.**
