Or: If you are using Word, 1) Turn macros off. 2) Don't accept DOC files from the net. Have them send RTF or another format that doesn't carry macros.

{yes i know it bites, but the graphics are amazing} Quite possibly the simplest and most accurate review of the movie ever... ;-)

True, Chas, these are more humorous or parody heroes than "anti-heroes..." An "anti-hero" is generally either a character who simply makes the hero's life more difficult without being a hero or a villain (as, say the main character of "Dr. Who" was in his first few stories, before he BECAME a hero), or an outright villain. Darth Vader is, essentially, an Anti-Hero. These have been more fun than the traditional anti-hero so far... :-)

The hostility there is NOT genuine. Brutal and destructive, yeah, but it's more "Get it out of your system land" than "beat the bejeezus out of the newbie" land...

Do you mean the AC comics character ? I made attempts at both versions of her (Joan Wayne and Jennifer Burke) a while back... I could probably dig them out... It wasn't a model, just a texture and trans map on clothing props for the white suited one, and the Zygote heroine with a texture map for the red one, and not all that good but...

I didn't say the Tavern WAS Formal, just more Formal than Renderwars. And maybe that was the wrong word - maybe "Polite" would be better? :-)

Q: What exactly is the "Render Wars" forum for? A: Whatever you want it to BE for. It's a "blow off steam" forum - less abrasive than C&D, less formal than The Tavern.

You still need to play with the lighting - I think that's where the excessive "yellow" of the image comes from. But you are moving in the "right" direction here.

I suspect one of two things - 1) Dmentia DID use some other image to do the hands and honestly doesn't remember if it was the one in question or not, or 2) Dmentia simply does not want to discuss this publicly for whatever reason. (Or BOTH)...

The Posette's face: 1) Has the hairline and eyes too close. 2) Looks more bronzed than the real woman 3) Needs more frontal lighting so that the nose does NOT look more pronounced (I think that may be where you're closest to her!), and 4) For some reason looks about five to ten years older than the photo. IIRC, Darth Logice did a Buffy (that IS Sarah Michelle Geller, right?) a while back - you might want to search the Gallery and Archives for his posts. IIRC, he got everything but the nose right...

Ditto what Jeff said. The eyes don't feel quite right. Also, you might want to smudge the knees a bit in post render, to smoothe out the bends, and the hip... Either you need to REALLY tone down the bend (it looks like the leg is being ripped off of her body), ad a few creases to the skin around it, or (ideally) both - one of the problems with CGI animation is that skin (etc.) doesn't frequently fold realistically, and this image shows that fairly clearly. Maybe a bump map would help?
