Quote - Please, a request - do not resort to referring to people as whiners or say they're whining just because they express unhappiness about something. In this situation I'm on the side of "it's the choice of the creators to do as they wish and up to whoever wants the parts to get ones made by others as I'm sure they will be", but I have been on the side of those unhappy with something and HATE being called a complainer or whiner because I express my unhappiness or dissatisfaction. I'd hope the intent is not to insult, but it IS insulting.
It's so much less offensive to empathize and perhaps say "I can understand you're not happy but unfortunately, that's the decision that's been made".

"Elvis came in a dream and said no"

Quote - .zip files work for me. They're being used every where else except at Daz. And no need for custom installers for HiveWire3d.

Oh, DAZ3D is using zips now, too. Finally! It just took them forever to get to this point.

Quote - > Quote - Of course, all Lisa's fans would follow HER, not stay at Daz without her ;). Laurie
I'm sorry, Laurie, but I don't think this logic is sound. I know lots and lots of Poser users who simply refuse to do business with DAZ, therefore didn't follow their favorite vendors at all.
...as long as the only way to get their products were through DAZ...
I think you didn't really follow the logic. She meant follow them to the new store. Your own post would indicate that you'd be OK with buying from Ken at a different store. That is what she was saying.

Quote - > Quote - Holy cow. Lisa's stuff is gone from DAZ now. No longer even shows up in search.
Did she jump or was she pushed?
Some are still there but 99% plants are gone, including the newset ones.
I have just about all of her stuff. Bell Flower was waiting in my wishlist. Oh, well. I'm sure it will show up in the new place. :D

Or the thunder-thighs problem I hope! :scared:
You've noticed those, too? :D

Quote - As for her male counter part, I'm liking Dusk for his name. But we'll find out what you guys have in mind to call him. May he NOT have the M4 should bulk problem!
I thought DAZ3D claimed that they eliminated the bowling ball shoulders with M4. And it looked like it, at first. Then I saw shirts that had them again, and poses. Not always, though.

Xurge 3D does some really nice work for that style. Really nice! I wonder if he will support this new figure.

Dawn was easy enough, as in start of a new Dawn.
All the best.
Great Uncle LROG
I was thinking Tony would be a good name.
Remember Tony Orlando and Dawn? ;o)
Remember them? I even remember that they had some kind of TV variety show for a while. :blushing:

Well, since all my products vanished yesterday at their former home and I've already received several emails wondering what's happened, I guess I'll come out...
I'm now with Hivewire3D and the new model is awesome-- some of the most realistic joint bends I've ever seen :)
Songbird Ken? My wishlist must have had a seizure!

Thread: Pet Peeve: DO NOT Put Runtimes Inside Your Own Name Folders | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually, I prefer it that way. I think the problem is when they are like this:
TrekkieGrrrl/Runtime/Libraries/whatever library/
Your way, it unzips just fine.
Dana
Quote - OK I have always packed my stuff in a runtime/libraries/whatever library/TrekkieGrrrl folder. So is that wrong?
Just making sure.. I don't want to piss people off by giving them free stuff (even if it's been ages...)
ETA
Of course the example with TrekkieGrrrl/runtime is daft. That way people will never get your stuff installed properly if they - like me - just drop the zip into the runtime.. But who'd do that? It makes no sense...
Thread: Pet Peeve: DO NOT Put Runtimes Inside Your Own Name Folders | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Until recently I haven't had Poser. But even though I now do, I still prefer to look at things. I can't count how many times I've had something below the Runtime folder in a zip that was not correct, like an extra Runtime, or an extra Content folder. Or sometimes everything is in the main zip with no folders at all. I use IZArc, which is totally free, and I can look at anything in there without unzipping the files onto my hard drive. Lately, I've gotten into the habit of drilling down to the sub folders of importance, like Libraries/Pose and drag the folder under that to the Libraries/Pose in my Runtime. Drag and drop is an easy feature to use. Most archivers have it, I think. I've had too much crap that I couldn't find when I unzipped it blindly, so I take extra caution now. I always look at it. Some sources are trusted and I'll just unzip it, pointing it to the Runtime that I want it in. I have one for DAZ content, one for Freebies not from DAZ, and one for Paid items not from DAZ.
Unfortunately for newbies, they don't have this knowledge, so they blindly unzip and trust that it worked right. Then often find out that it didn't.

Quote - I did try "tab" thing and it did seem to help, along with setting my accessibilitis (spell) to NOT have "high contrast"... I had some success with this...my 'upload image' page stayed as it should... too bad the folks that are in charge of the forums (and/or the pregrammers!?) could not have come back with these suggestions in my post when I first posted?
At any rate, thanks! :)
