Thread: WIP Hair Update : Ben the Glamourous Slave.... | Forum: Bryce
I think that hair will work as well. This picture looks great. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Funny thing about the human body is that it never really looks right... Like if you try to draw a hand, and then draw from a REAL hand, the REAL hand always looks fake? Make any sense?
Makes perfect since my friend. Good luck with the hair.

Actually I think the hair looks pretty good :-) To me it's his back that looks a little off. I know that it would arch somewhat because he is in a slumped position, I just wonder if it would protrude that much. Don't get me wrong I really like this pic a lot!!! And I'm certainly no anatomy expert. So take it for what it's worth. I also agree that light is awesome :-)

Re-sizing should work Flak. You may have to use unsharp mask in Photoshop afterwards to bring it back into focus. It may be a little blurry otherwise.
Thread: "Generic Error" 100 percent reproducable ... Why?? | Forum: Bryce
I'm getting this same error, just started a couple of days ago with my recent image I just uploaded. I had to save this picture like 3 times all under different names. I've never had this error before in all the years I have used Bryce, until now. The only thing I did different was I updated Windows XP to sp2. I'm gonna try and re-install Bryce, but otherwise I'm stumped.
Thread: darn computer or is it... | Forum: Bryce
Ang I have this same motherboard, and went through the same exact things you went through with the power supply, and upgrading the memory. What worked for me was just switching the slots. It took a few times of re-seating them in the correct slots for them to start working. Are you getting any weird beeps when you start up from your computer? The Bios will give you different beeps on start up for different problems. If there's a problem with the memory being incompatible, or not seated right you will get something like 3 short beeps.
Thread: OT bad computer prob | Forum: Bryce
This may sound dumb, but have you tried a different wall socket? or powerstrip? I have the same exact setup as you ang. Nvidia nforce 2 board, and amd athlon xp 2800. $50 watt power supply. My power supply fan went out recently, and it was exactly a year old. It could be an Nvidia issue being hard on power supplies. Just a guess. Hope you get it working again.
Thread: Can't get some clothes to turbo import into Bryce5 | Forum: Bryce
Try re-saving the poser file again in poser and giving it a different name. Sometimes when saving the .pz? file it saves corrupted. Then import the file again into daz studio. I assume you are doing it that way in order to have the texture files import with the .obp file correct? I hope that helps, I am just taking a stab in the dark here.
Thread: What is art? | Forum: Bryce
I read this somewhere I thought that it applied here. Visual art is communication - a visual language. There is a sender and a receiver. The artist is the originator of a concept or message. The viewer is the receiver of that message. They must both understand the same language for a dialog to take place. Intent is not enough. The artist can have all the intent in the world that what she/he presents is art but if that message (intent) isn't understood by the viewer than that piece isn't art to that viewer. To someone else who understands the artist's language the communication can take place. An understanding of the intent through the visual language is the key to the communication. The viewer must take responsibility to learn the language of artists and not just blame the artist if they don't "get it". I think it was Duchamp's intent with "The Fountain" to pose this very question. "Is this urinal art if I say it is?" Obviously it is because we (some not all) understand his message and are still discussing it now. Welcome to art 101.
Thread: Crediting work that big of a deal? | Forum: Bryce
What about when you take the door from one model, and the window from another model, etc etc... Until you get something completely different then what it was originally? How do you credit that? I'm truly just curious here. I always have a hard time deciding how best to give credit where credit is due in this situation. I would be annoyed if I were you drac. It's just as bad as taking someones picture, and putting it on your web site and claiming to the masses that you did the work. That happens to me from time to time, and it annoys me to no end.
Thread: Upgrade in 04' | Forum: Bryce
Daz released a statement saying they postponed the shipment until January to ensure quality. It's posted on their site somewhere in the forum section.
