I'm guessing you're in the states but in case not, look at pcspecialist.co.uk - they build to your spec, take slightly longer than they say on the site to build it but I am ecstatically happy with my pc and the service. Can't beat the price, I'm sure even if you built it yourself!
(I think you will have a hard job trying to spend that much on a pc for home use!)

I'm still getting over my birthday celebrations last night, picked up the mag from the doormat, took it up to bed, snuggled down and had a flick through... didn't notice this ad - wonder why OH it's because of Loic Zimmerman's awesome inside cover art on the opposite page :D
Well actually she looks like a huge improvement, especially around the eyes which always look weird on the poser people.
Depending on price I will probably upgrade but if it's a huge price tag then I'll have to think carefully about the benefits.

The troubles you are having certainly sounds to me like you need to find your Poser/runtime/libraries/Daz! folder, look in there and run the batch files... "DZ Create Exp files..." - run all the ones you see.
You have to do this every time you install or reinstall any morphs for the Gen4 figures.
Keep with it, Bettine is so cute :D

Quote - That vendor has always given me top notch support... very timely. The vendor has always gone out of their way to honor freebie downloads for me even on minimal purchases. There may be IRW issues at play.
ditto. I am always happy to buy from him and his stuff is top quality.

This happens after you "point at " her eyes. I find if I select the hair, move it a point in any x,y or z direction everything pops back, then just undo to reset the hair.
Best to leave the "point at" command until the very last.

I am doing the LVS Online beginners course in vue - it's PDF text & images - not video

It's $25 for 6 weeks but well worth it.
Thread: How do u make a campfire reflect on the people around it | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The nifty thing is you can have lights pointing in all directions from one invisible sphere just as you would have a sphere of light emanating from a fire. You just move the sphere around and all the lights follow - much easier than trying to move 8 lights around. If you look at the product available here which comes with fire props and lights, that is exactly how it is done.
If you just use a point light, make it yellow and it works then fine, fair enough, that works and yes done. I didn't realise that there was a right/wrong answer. I was suggesting something that may work better than a simple point light - and it's free so if it doesn't work then nothing lost.

Thanks Acadia, I always wondered who was the wonderful helpful person that made this useful prop.

Probably is. I'm sure it's really simple to make it yourself with a primitive and parent the lights but I'm notoriously lazy ;)
This was the pic that I was thinking of when I read the question about getting the glow from the fire as I wanted to get the same effect from the smoke here. I used it here to get the green glow coming out of the sarcophogus:

(the smoke is postwork in cs2)

There's a prop freebie, a primitive sphere with lights attached north/south/east/west and the inbetween points. You can place the sphere in the fire, make it invisible, change the colours/intensities of the lights as required (or turn them off as needed) and point them towards your people. It's a really useful prop for adding atmospheres.
I think it's called lightball or something, I'm at work so can't check my runtime.
Edit: it's called Globall - do a search on www.whatever3d.com and hit the picture to get the download.

| use CS2 and I haven't upgraded to CS3 since at the moment I only use a fraction of CS2's capabilities and am learning as I go along. Once I find I need more than CS2 provides I will upgrade.

The beginner tutorials are really great. It's helping me get started while I tap my foot impatiently waiting for Peggy's beginner's class to start in a couple of weeks :D
Already I've realised I should have forked out the little bit extra to get Infinite over Pro Studio, even just for the ecosystem painting. Oh well maybe the upgrade will make a good christmas present!
