Wow. I thought my challenge had been ignored. Glad to see someone actually did it. =) Rosh
Thread: Is there a version of the remapped dragon for Windows? Isn't .sit MAC? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ok, to unzip a .sit file, go get aladdin expander (www.aladdinsys.com) and that will work. Once it's uncompressed, it works fine. You have to use mover to convert the .pcf file to .obj, though. =) Hope this helps, Rosh

Yikes! That's just scary. Looks wonderful, though. =) Hope your computer can take it... Rosh
Thread: I need a throne | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've got one in the freestuff as well. Search for me, or just go to http://home.att.net/~ozolins/ and click models. Maybe not what you're looking for, but it's worth a look, right? =) Rosh
Thread: Doctor Who -vs- the Organica | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Organica's one of the programs Davo uses for his twisted creatures.. they turn out really well. I've played with it myself, but I didn't particularly care for it. Of course, I prefer a nurbs approach to modelling. If you like modelling with metaballs, I'd say organica's the program for you. I'll second the request to make more "normal" clothing and lay off the lingerie. I could use some more practical clothing, too. =) Good work on the figure. I've never seen Dr. Who, so I don't really know how it's supposed to look, but it looks good in its own right. =) Rosh
Thread: Transmapped pony-tail in Bryce | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Should be able to. Not sure. You might have to rotate the texture or something (if you do, just rotate it the same as you do for normal poser textures). Rosh
Thread: WIP comments? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It all looks great, except for the background. Something about the columns and the floor just bother me. I can't really put my finger on it. And the texturing on the wall looks stretched. =)
Thread: Transmapped pony-tail in Bryce | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Here's how to do it: Texture each part separately... Select the tail part, open up the material lab, pop up the texture and choose TailTX.jpg for the texture and TailTR.jpg for the transmap. Then click the little down-arrow near the top right, and choose Blend Transparency. Then click the little dot for Transparency under the channel that holds the tex/transmap. Make sure Transparency is set at 0. Repeat for the head part, using HeadTX.jpg and HeadTR.jpg. That should work. Let me know if you have more problems. =) Rosh
Thread: Quik.. let me know how far off I am.. | Forum: Bryce
Do you want me to send you my two? Oh yeah, thanks Hawk. I knew I'd done it once before.. couldn't remember how. =) Rosh

Ok, I couldn't get the graying clouds (never could figure out how to change cloud color...) but I think I'm pretty close on everything else.. What do you think? Rosh
Thread: WIP Heather, Hair Test | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ignore the rude people. There are many more friendly people around here. In fact, if you want, post a bunch of WIPs in the gallery. You've got 3 uploads per day to the gallery, post whatever pics you feel like, so long as subject matter's appropriate (i.e. not belonging at R'otica). I like the pic. I agree about the bump on her top. Two things, in my opinion, could improve this a bit: First, you might want a better texture. Check the free stuff, there's TONS of textures. =) Second, the hair's pretty plastic. There are two main workarounds for poser's plastic hair. First is to do your hair in postwork, which requires a bit of talent for drawing. The other is to get a transmapped hair prop, such as Kozaburo's (check Digital Babes, he's got a number of good ones). There's nothing wrong with her hair, if you like it that way. I'm just offering suggestions in case you want more realistic hair. You're doing a wonderful job, especially for a first render. =) Rosh
Thread: Thanks for the help. Here's Lysa. =) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks Vethril, but I really don't like those loafers. Oh well. =) As for the hair, click on Digital Babes at the right. It's on that page, named something like Ian Gray's hair, transmapped by Kozaburo or somesuch. =) Do yourself a favor and get Koza's other hairpieces. They're wonderful. =) Rosh
Thread: JPG to TIF Conversion? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm.. well, you can get ACDSee.. it converts images to a bunch of different formats, and it also does wonderful jpeg compression (most of the time). It's still a matter of loading the jpeg, then save as TIF, but it loads faster. =) Rosh

The shoes were a last minute addition. Couldn't think of what should go on her feet. She's casually dressed right now, so I figured tennis shoes (they look suspiciously like clean versions of my shoes). Anyone know of some good casual shoes? Tasteful, please. =) As for that, since I'll eventually be doing more formal pics with her.. I'll have to find some decent formal shoes too. So.... if anyone knows of some really good formal shoes, I'd appreciate that too. =) Rosh
