Now I remember...
The villainous Poser figure I'm looking for is Volrath. He looked a bit like this: http://www.wizards.com/magic/expert/Tempest/Tempest_Characters.html#volrath
(but with Poser 3 limitations).
Does this help jog anyone's memory?

Thank you!
I came to a similar realization before reading your post and sent a note to the store staff. Hopefully they'll be able to tell me something...

Wow. Maybe that explains it...
Next time I'll move faster and slap it on my credit card right away!
Thanks!

Really? I checked and I thought it wasn't a clearance item. It was only priced at about $5 or so but didn't have the look of a Clearance item...

When I saw it, no one seemed to have bought a copy yet. I can't recall who the artist was who created it otherwise I would've PM'd him by now...

Wow! Thanks for stating the obvious because I went back to check at Animotions and there it was!! Duh! Maybe I should look before I post...
Thanks!

Wow. I saw those renders and they looks wonderful. Maybe I'll just wait on looking for that old Guyver figure... this one looks much better!

Wow! Thanks for the link to royloo's site! He's got some cool freebies. EricJ, how did you find out about his Guyver figure? I didn't see any info...
The Guyver model is a low-poly creation that doesn't look like it'll work for Poser. The one I'm thinking of had a complete helmet and maybe a texture map for the rest of the body.
Thanks for the quick responses!
Thread: Transparency Issues with Non-PhotoReal Renders in Carrara 5 | Forum: Carrara
The thing with the eyeballs being black may have to do with a bit of geometry over the eyes to help simulate specularity. On M2 I believe it's called "Eyeball" and on the Millenium figures
I think it's LeftCornea and RightCornea. Set the Alpha on both of those to transparent and it should go away.
I've had a similar problem with those blasted UpperEyebrows that you're having. They even appear in ToonPro. One solution might be to import the figure using Native Import so you have better control in overriding the default settings for Non-Photo rendering. Override the defaults and then set them to full transparency and it ought to work. In theory.
I hope that helps! Good luck!
Thread: TransPoser/ToonPro question | Forum: Carrara
Actually, Veritas, I had gotten Carrara before "Cartoon Shaders" was released, and looking over some of the image samples for "Cartoon Shaders", I realized that ToonPro allowed me to create those cartoon effects already. Plus, if there was a Toon effect that I wanted to simulate, the people
on this here Renderosity Carrara Forum helped point me in the right direction.
They're kinda like cyberspace angels in that way...
As an example, here's a link to something Eric helped me with: http://market.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2526663
I still use that effect in my work, as you can see in the following links:

Thread: TransPoser/ToonPro question | Forum: Carrara
Thanks, Esther.
Before I got my Wacom tablet, I would've groaned about using that method (especially since I already thought I might have to do that), but not now! :thumbupboth:
Shonner-
Actually I was hoping Eric might peek his head into this thread here so we could exchange notes. I think I have a couple of files handy that would show that transparent object/line issue. I guess it's still too early...

Thread: Help with Native Poser Import? | Forum: Carrara
What I do is select the character's instance which gives me the 3D guides for moving it. I use that for moving the character and you can see the result above. I also tried deleting the smaller character. After doing that, I could move the big guy wherever I wanted without any changes to its feet placement. When I import the little guy again, the big guy's feet move as if they were anchored to the little guy's IK terminators. I could move the little guy and the big guy's feet would follow it around. Could it be some conflict because the two characters are named similarly? I'm kinda stuck. I was hoping to do some specfic things with the Native Import, but if I have this problem, maybe I should stick with TransPoser...?
