I could've used this about a week ago ;P Well, I'm here now at least. Note taking time! BTW, it may just be Bob (aka my computer) being stupid again, but Poser doesn't let me select a bone when I have the bone creation tool selected. Every click results in a new bone that is the child of the last bone. To select a different bone I have to switch to a translate tool. ...Yes, my computer's name is Bob. That's even its name on the network. There's "Main computer", "Dad's computer", and "Bob". I think this one is Bob the Third. My computers are always named Bob. Yes, I'm weird ;P

Well I haven't worked with injection poses, but IIRC you can distribute morphs as long as it was made only from the base mesh, without any other morphs affecting your starting point. Distributing a morph built off another morph is copyright infringment. I'm not sure if that's what you're asking about, so if not just ignore me ;)

Wow, first Dr. Geep posted, then Rebekah?? faints Heh, thanks for the tip, I fixed the parenting problem. I keep forgeting that the hierarchy can be adjusted in the setup room. Now all the joints are working the way they're supposed to. Thanks a million everyone!

Yeah, I guess I choose which gallery to post it in by how much work was done in each program. If I set up the scene in Poser and just rendered in Bryce, I'd probably call it Poser. If I set up a background and a dolphin figure in Poser, then set up lighting and atmospheric effects in Bryce, I'd probably call it Bryce. So I guess it varies a lot ;) I do always list all the programs involved in each image, though.

Thanks PhilC, I'll work on the mesh some more. Glad you think it's a fun model too ^_^ I haven't started working on any body part other than the neck area, because it's what's not working. And I will be scaling it down in my modeller obviously, its default loading size is way too big ;) I know the neck especially needs more polygons, but I don't think that's what's causing the deformation.
I know I should have started working out the JPs from the hip outward. Maybe If I start there it'll behave itself. EDIT: Thanks Dr. Geep ;) Several of the bones are stretched out like that, adjusting/recreating them hasn't done anything yet.

I define a Poser image as one whose focus is on Poser objects, such as figures. I sometimes export my figures to render in Bryce, but I sometimes upload it as a Poser image.

Also 5.0.4.325, purchased from Curious Labs' site, as a download. It was $120 for me, since I upgraded from Poser 3. I don't remember if I downloaded an updater yet. Better go see, it might fix the weird problems I'm having (mentioned in my topic farher down the list)

Thanks for going through the trouble MoonRose. You did a much better job of explaining what's going on than I did. I can't figure out why it's doing that either. I've checked it in Wings where I modeled it, PHI Builder and Poser's hierarchy editor, and everything looks right. The only thing that's odd is if I go into the setup room. The bones are all over the place. But there's no change to the figure if they're moved. I kind of wonder if Poser just doesn't like having so many "necks". That doesn't make much sense though, because the MilDragon has 4 neck sections labeled neck1 - neck4. I've loaded and studied several different models, especially creatures with long necks, and those with the same "zero" position. I tried mimicing their setups, but I still encounter the same problem. This doesn't happen with other figures, or even other objects I've made. I experimented with something akin to Dr. Geep's Boxman last night. I stuck three cylinders together and messed with the joints on it. Even with rediculously out-of-whack parameters, it still behaved as I expected it to. About every other neck section on my dragon bends correctly. The "twist" and "sideside" movements are fine on all of them. I think my dragon is possessed >_> ;P

Here's the files, hopefully one of y'all can make sense of it =/Thread: What causes this, should it worry me, and how to fix it | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I know how to fix that (the only thing I know how o do, it seems ;P ) The eyeball and gloss sphere need to be props, seperate from the figure. 1. Save your figure without the eye spheres. Delete their notations in the PHI file too. 2. Save the two eye spheres together as one object. For more than one eye, save each one. This is important because Poser will be able to put them in the right place. 3. Bring your model into Poser, and import your eyeball object. Make sure to UNcheck "centered", "place on floor", and "percent of standard figure size". It should load in the correct position, in the eye socket. If it shows up as pure white, the ambience has been turned on. Use the material room to set ambient color to black. 4. Now parent the eyeball to the relevant part of the figure. Now you should be able to rotate it normally. :)
