Winterclaw, that's my point! Hexagon should be renamed Helixagon, as it makes a nice DNA-like strand for a UV map.- Starkdog

Thanks for the advice. I found out that I bought Ultimate Unwrap 3D like 4 years ago, and just re-downloaded it and it worked nicely. I'll post a pic of Miki 3's new beach/cover dress in a bit.
Thanks again- Starkdog.

Thread: Modern Cruise Ship | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Tony Baas had a great cruise ship, Poseidon, here in the RMP, but is no longer offered. I would contact him to see if you can privately purchase it from him, or see if he is going to re-sell it here again.- Starkdog
Thread: OT: Mac questions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh the temptation!!! I might check my local goodwill for a inexpensive test-mac, as I recently saw computers by the pallet at the drop-off center. Even if it isn't the most current, I can always try things out, then upgrade later. I'm looking at getting a MacBook for my wife, as she mainly does games, some iTunes stuff, e-mail, etc. As much as I'd like to get her a MacBook Pro, it is a bit out of our price range right now. This will replace a 2006 Compaq Presario V6000 series laptop. I'm also going to get an Airport Extreme router, as my Cisco/Netgear router has dodgy wifi reception- it's always dropping connection from the laptop, printer, and wii for Netflix.- Starkdog.

Thanks for the feedback. I would like to get a totally loaded MacPro, but the price is out of my league. I was looking at the MacMini just to get my feet wet into the world of Mac. I played with the MacBook Air last night, as well as the iPad. Heck, I want just about 1 of each just because they are so cool. What macs are you guys and gals using? Thanks,- Starkdog

I suggest Aquari by LownWolfPro. It is available in the RMP. It has scalable pools with different glass and tile settings.- Starkdog
Thread: New Reality (lux render) Plugin over at Daz...time for Poser Plugin Update? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow!!! I cannot wait to see this once it has been developed into a further stage for beta testing, and actual release. There renders are amazing.- Starkdog
Thread: I've made it bigtime, but don't know how to react | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ok, so it is adult-empire dot com who has snagged a ton of renders from here and Rotica. Mods, I hope this is ok, as I did not include the actual hyperlink. If anyone finds their artwork there and wants to file a "class-action" DMCA, let me know.- Starkdog

Wow, I did not intend to create another pissing match; besides, it's not September yet :) I just thought it was weird that somebody would take the time to mine Renderosity for pics to be used on a freebie 3D porn page, especially my renders. From now on, I'll use a watermark, and try that copyrighting site that was mentioned earlier. If I knew some of the others who were ripped off, I would then pursue the DMCA route as a joint effort. I'll try to search again for the domain info.
Thanks again for all the advice, -Starkdog

Well shoot!!! I looked at the UV map, and I had some overlap. I brought the sweater into Ultimate Unwrap 3D, and ran a LSCM pass, which removed the few tangles. I then saved the mesh, and retried OBJ2CR2 in Poser8, and Poser crashed within seconds of launching the Python Script. I'm getting really frusterated with Poser 8 not cooperating well. I'm also kinda ticked that Hexagon has such a crappy UV mapping scheme. I've never been able to get a clean UV map out of Hexagon. I do have Modo 202, but the learning curve is kind of steep for me. Hexagon just seemed so natural to me. I wonder if Phil has found the bug(s)?- Starkdog

I modeled and UV mapped the sweater for Alyson in Hexagon 2.5. Nruddock, I think you may be on to something. Although I did make some clothing for V4 in Hexagon, it runs through OBJ2CR2 just fine. I might look into ths some more.......- Starkdog

Hmm,
Failed again. PhilC, I sent you an e-mail. RobynsVeil, I use OBJ2CR2 with other characters and have had great success. I also use PhilC's and Kamilche's Wardrobe Wizard, and enjoy it. Do read the tutorials on Phil's website, and I think there may be a few here as well. Have fun during the Holidays.- Starkdog
