I don't think it's good idea. It's just me, but having sub-categories would make me miss some magnificent renders. Most of the best artists don't have a theme so they could post a picture in a gallery and I could miss it. Could you imagine missing you favorite artists best render because he/she put it in a sub-category? Aiee! :)
Thread: Rendering times and what goes into them (need info) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My problem is with RAM most likely. I got that program Cacheman and when I opened Poser it showed almost all my RAM being used. Then when I rendered it filled and started to use W~ay too much VMEM. Thus, I'm just getting more RAM. ^_^

Thebert - I'm using figures I use a lot with the exception of a texture for the Zygote Dragon. It's two different textures at 2000x2000. One is about 500k and the other is 150k. As for me, I'm on a Pentium 3 1.7 Ghz with 256 of RAM. I was just thinking about my background picture (on a Square prop). Could it be that I am using a BMP? I usually use JPGs.

Wow. I'll have to check that out, Sylvia. That just might be the problem that's causing my general failures! Thanks!!
Thread: Bryce errors when saving | Forum: Bryce
The problem has only occured when I import Poser figures into Bryce. It's strange because I do this all the time and I've only had this problem with two scenes now. It must be a problem with one of the imported figure because I can't even save the object in the Bryce libraries. I get the same error. I have the same problem like Flak described. Being able to save a scene, but then the scene gives me an error when I try to re-save, or even a Save as... situation. Ack. I hope Corel can make a patch to correct this terribly inconvenient problem! I would imagine this kind of error with a complex scene with numerous different figures and light etc, but not with something simple! Aiee! Thanks for the intel, folks. I take comfort in the fact it isn't my fault!
Thread: Figure search - swimsuit for preschool Vicki | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'll have look into Poserworld. I've never really explored much into their site since I spend so much money on other things Poser-related. _ I was aware of the default texture map #2 that has a swimsuit on it. It was part of the Yazoo/Yoda package I got several weeks ago. I use the default texture without the swimsuit on it, because I wasn't sure how the suit on the texture alone would turn out. It's worth some experimentation I supose! Thanks for all the replies!

I can understand that. I started to read Bryce 2's manual way back and then I had to stop before my head burst. It's not that confusing. I'm like this mainly because of learning all the specifics for Photoshop about 5 years ago burned me out.

I abhore manuals. I like to figure things out for myself most of the time. If I can't figure it out my feeling is the explanation I can get from actual people are much more helpful. _

Wow. _ Those two characters Yazoo and Yoda are good. I just bought them as a matter of fact. Thanks much! :)

One thing I just noticed in Photoshop is a bit odd. I put the rendered "blocky" picture over the original BMP and hid one layer and went back and forth hiding them. The images don't align right. That might be because of the distortion on the render, though. It makes me think about Bryce and how line by line is done several times; each time getting finer. It's like Poser skipped the last pass of the image.
Thread: Background picture question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I save my renders at BMPs and then convert them in Photoshop. I do have anti-alias checked. This is really confusing.
