and to think, we just wanted some foot morphs :P
well, this is going to be experimenting at its finest, I've done some minor editing to the ears of my figures for some nifty WoW inspired ears.
As for Poser 7's morph tool... to be honest, it's really a gimmick than anything. I will say it helps to be able to smooth out rough meshes, but can only do so on each body part, not the figure as a whole. If they want Poser to be able to edit meshes, then it needs to be a program that can do EVERYTHING to edit a mesh.

lol, wow, lots of info to read. Didn't realize I could just use the whole figure for editing, I thought I had to export each bod part simply because that's the only way you can use the modded mesh. And yeah, I know I can only move verts and not add or remove any :D
So, let me see if I got this right.
Step 1 - Export entire figure instead of just the body parts
Step 2 - Edit said figure as needed
Step 3 - re-import edited figure OBJ file and export each new body part as a morph target
Step 4 - Replace each body part of a new figure with new morph target body parts
Am I close or did I miss something? :P
Thread: Need help finding a file | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
lol, thanks for all the replies, everyone, but someone emailed me and told me how to find it in the internet archive before anyone even replied :P glad to have everyone's help on this, I'm one step closer to rebuilding my libraries and replacing corrupted files
Thread: WTF did Smith Micro do to Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ok, so I think I got it, went in and replaced "col=" with "column=" and it seems to be ok, but now I'm getting that stupid "locate Poser 7" error again... I think I'm just going to delete the damn thing and reinstall it without the SR3 update, it's obviously running better without it...
Thread: WTF did Smith Micro do to Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ok, so it doesn't list -col, it's actually just col... if that's the right one, example:
self.DiffuseFrame.grid(row=0,col=0,sticky="ns")
That should be the col I'm looking for and need to change to column... right?
Or should I just contact the author and hope that this is something he'd be willing to fix? After all, we all know no one uses V3 anymore rolls eyes

yep, I just tried it myself and it worked just fine, now to find the offending problem...
edit looking... looking... I don't find -col anywhere
Thread: WTF did Smith Micro do to Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ok, so I went looking for a script editor and all I'm finding are "how to" instead of actual programs, is this going to be a "notepad" type of edit?

thanks everyone, I'm going to look into fixing that, but my question is, why did this happen in the first place? the SR3 update shouldn't be going and changing things inside Python scripts, they're separate from Poser
Thread: "Please locate file: Poser 7" ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ha ha, I should have specified too, after a hard drive crash two years ago, I was left with a 60gig main drive and a 320gig backup drive, now I have a second 320gig drive for a new main drive, plus I keep everything sorted in folders with current updates and patches for all my programs, so finding things is no problem :P
Thread: "Please locate file: Poser 7" ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
well, if I tell it not to search for it, it ignores it and continues on as if nothing happens... I haven't tried searching for it other than that, I figure if it's running fine without, it's probably not a problem. Then again, I haven't done a full system format and re-install in nearly 2 1/2 years, maybe it's time to do so :P

unfortunatley I don't have 8 yet, so dunno where it's trying to look...
and yes, been in much similar situations :P
