Go into the skylab and check under atmosphere i think ?? You are supposed to see three letters (RGB) at the bottom left, check to see if it is activated and look if there is number written for each letter. The zoom in Bryce for the camera or director will give that effects so try using the zoom only when you are using the front, right, left, top, bottom views and for the camera and the director view, play with the arrows on the left panel to go look closer or father. No the lighting is not that bad and the blue-ish feel is ok. DenisG

With this view of the camera we have a feel of having the object being strech. When you positioned the camera did you used the zoom at the same time? At the bottom left, did you use a rock or a terrain? with the water make to square angle instead of being rounder, you know water hitting the rock. Overall its very good, like the pedestal. PS:What you do not understand about the lighting and the camera view? DenisG
Thread: Render time vs OS question | Forum: Bryce
When you minimize in Windows 98 any software and open a new one, windows will put more CPU for the software you are using and when finish doing the task will give Bryce the CPU power back. Its a little bit the same on W2k and Win XP but you have a better control over it for telling him real time process you want. But the best is what AgentSmith told about using render to disk. DenisG

Hello Micheleh, i would be interested but i did not do much those couples of months but you can look at my gallery under DenisG, the picture are still showing "Pleiades" but i need to change them. For me would be modeling, like buildings and other stuff and doing textures map. Anyway, that is for the moment DenisG
Thread: Another question about RAM, render time and Bryce ! | Forum: Bryce
What you need is more CPU Power to render scene faster. Stephen is right about RAM, only good for doing bigger scene. I have 512 MB of RAM and when i had 256 MB of ram and doing render now, there is no difference. The only change to make the render faster was to have a Dual Processor System.

Bryce Lightning is the add-on that help Bryce doing rendering with other computers on a network Each computer render a small square doing the picture. For a 800x600 picture you have around 44 square to render and this is shared around the network. I you have a Dual CPU system you can use near the maximum of the 2 cpu power for rendering, i get around 99% of use when i do that. If you have a Intel or AMD cpu adn using windows 2000/XP http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=408313 This is the post that explain what to do. At home i use Bryce and Bryce Lighting on my Dual CPU and on the network i use another Single CPU system. SO we could say i have the rendering capability of 3 computers. The rendering take about 2 to 2.5 half the time required with one cpu. I have asked the questions to a person from the Bryce team at Corel that made a visit her. Look on top of the thread "Spotlight with Conan Hunter-program manager for Bryce 5", Does Bryce support dual cpu, He said the code was created but was too big to implement in the current version of Bryce, by what i could understand it could be included on the next version of Bryce. My two cents. DenisG DenisG

Very good animation Clay. I like it very much, except when you see the ship flying in space seem to be too much 360 view with the animation. Great design, very texturing. Like always Clay, you amazed me with what Bryce can offer. DenisG(Pleiades)

Maybe you will find this odd but try this, Clean up your temporary internet files. Sometime those file can wreck havoc on page that you go often. Cleaning this folder will give Netscape to really get a new fresh page from Renderosity web site. I don't remember exactly where but you have the option for this. DenisG
