Just for interests sake for people asking about male version's, here's a simple pic from back in October. He wasn't completed but was fairly close. I've had to concentrate on the V1/2 version since, but now can get back to him. AFTER I write those tutorial's people are asking for :)Thread: Gah-Leee, SHAZAM! ----What A Concept! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Sharen: Glad you find her fun to play with. I guess you must have found some of the readme useful since you got them beauty boots on her :) Veritas: Yes I will be writing additional tutorials and some 'techy' insider info. We've been IM'ing a lot over the last few days, so will definately let you know the instant I have something :) catlin_mc: I'm sorry about the V1 issue, but there isn't much I can do about it yet. DAZ requested/insisted I include the V2 version, and as such they need to verify the person has it before installing. I appologize for the inconvenience, and hopefully the new comments on the page will avoid the issue in the future.
Thread: Shazam Morph AutoLoad Features - How To | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Dragongirl: Scripts can be used in any Poser version from 4 up. The Morph AutoLoad feature is just something 'techy' I created fooling around one evening, and since I was working on Shazam at the time, I decided to include it in the character. It's basically a variation on the morph injection technique that was popularized with the Vicky 3 release. In 'normal' morph injection, the morph channels have to exist in the cr2 prior to injecting the morph. For the AutoLoad usage, the channels don't have to exist, and they will be created if needed. If that's a bit techy just ignore it - you don't have to understand that to use it. It turns out to be extremely useful for Vicky-based character's simply because there are so many addon body and head morphs. For creating morph injection poses for V1/2, people typically 'steal' an existing channel and replace it with their new morph. Unfortunately that means you loose the original morph. So by using the Morph AutoLoad technique, all your new morphs are added/inserted at the top of the dial lists as brand new channels. So if you have several 'favorite' head morphs, you can copy these to the AutoLoad scripts, and they will be available in any Vicky-based figure that has the AutoLoad feature. For example, I have several favorite ThorneWorks head morphs, and copied these to the AutoLoad script. So now when I load a character, whether it's Shazam, Vicky 1, Vicky 2, the Preteen, etc, those morphs are automatically loaded at the top of the head dials. Saves having to copy the same morph into each separate cr2.

Here's a link to the readme that some people seem to be missing. Not sure how that happened, but have to wait until next week to get it straightened out. Shazam User Gallery This is the current user image gallery, and I've added a link at the bottom where you can get the readme.

Hi Pokeydots Hope this link comes through properly:
Shazam User Gallery This is the main user image gallery, and at the bottom of the page there is a link to the readme for the AutoLoad scripting features. Yes there will be a Michael version. The Victoria 1/2 version is just the first of four. There is also versions for M1/2, V3 and M3. These are all nearing completion and now that the V1/2 version has finally been released, I am working closely with DAZ on the release schedule for the other's. Personally I prefer the 1/2 versions since they are a lot easier on system resources, plus I have a TON more stuff for them than for the version 3 characters. The increased poly density does offer some additional possibilities though. The caricature angle being the most obvious of those, and there are discussions being held specifically on that topic.

Hi Elizabyte. There definately will be a male version! The Victoria 1/2 version is just the first of four. There is also versions for M1/2, V3 and M3. Thanks for the coments Karen. I think you did an excellent job there!

Hi Jack. Good points! I didn't mean to suggest that brain size was 'overly' allocated for hands/etc, since you are absolutely correct that it would have evolved differently. I also stand corrected that it's a hypothesis and not a theory :) And a bit superficial I realize :) Although I could be a little finnicky and say that since we are dealing with visual arts here, we are by definition dealing with the superficial :) The blind angle is a very interesting one I hadn't considered. I did work with a blind programmer many years back when I was working up in the far, Canadian North (basically equivalent to Alaska) He used to delight in our weekly power outages since he was perfectly comfortable in the dark, and he'd just wander around scarring the jeepers out of the rest of us stumbling around :) I never did ask him how much of his brain he used for facial recognition. Obviously he wouldn't need the visual processing facilities, but perhaps they use some of it for the touch/feel type of recognition. The whole neural processing area and how your brain is laid out in discreet areas to handle specific body part is quite fascinating. More fascinating is how the visual neural encoding is laid out in 3D layers. Then there is the whole memory thing, and how it encodes and cross references things in order to bring back entire scenes including visual as well as sounds and smells. I'm WAY out of my league there, and not certain it has any relevance to a particular art style. It would be interesting to see a nerve density drawing or illustration, just to see where the most heavily populated areas were. Likely the hands and face are fairly dense with nerves endings, although I'm not to sure if that would be true of the feet. I never realized the over sized proportions was a relatively new issue. Especially the caricature angle. I suppose I've always been subjected to it so considered it 'normal'. Mad magazine has been around since I was a little kid, and a significant proportion of newspaper cartoons and comix have always had at least a bit of this. It's a fascinating topic though, and I appreciate the comments. I certainly didn't mean to portray my 'hypothesis' as anything but a wild idea :) Maybe true, maybe not, but it's kind of an interesting idea to consider.
Thread: SHAZAM....I LOVE HER...what a great great great model... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Woah, long thread. I'll probably get buried down here at the bottom, but... I just wanted to thank everyone for the positive comments, and express my appreciation for those that went so far as to publicly mention they do 'like' it. Releasing a new product is always nerver-wracking to me, since I'm continuously worried that I missed some last detail, so the postive feedback is very much appreciated. That being said, I'm getting the impression that some of my doucumentation could have been better :) Before I address that, I would like to ask Lyrra (and the other's who are questioning the appeal,) if we could start another thread on that topic? I will right away anyways, but would invite you to participate since I find the topic fascinating! So on the 'extra info/documentation' side, I think the general question revolves around how to use the Morph AutoLoad features included with Shazam? Hopefully, because if it is, here's at least the start of the answers. Actually, this thread has gotten pretty long, so I think I'll start a new thread for that as well. Never know, someone might have a question :)

Woah pokeydots! Totally awesome! I'm always impressed by how much better people are at using the stuff I make than I am :) I'm buidling a Shazam User Gallery, so if you wouldn't mind including a pic+ of your's, drop me an IM or email. Thought I better leap in here. Been busy writing some tutorial's on how to use/add the Shazam Morph AutoLoad features to ANY existing cr2. So I missed the forums for a couple days and hope my answer doesn't get buried/missed way down here at the bottom. Just wanted to say she will take ANY V1/V2 morphs. You use MorphManager like usual, although there are 2 specialized "User" scripts, and you copy the morphs into these scripts rather than into the cr2. The scripts are in the Geometries/mgToon/ScriptsV1 folder, and there is also a text file there called "readmeShazScripts.txt" that explains the idea. The two scripts are called "Addin-UserBody.pz2" and "Addin-UserHead.pz2", but you should see the readme for full information :) The reason for using these specialized script files is that any morphs added to these scripts will have the channels automatically CREATED if neccessary! This is similar to the standard Injection Pose idea, except for my Morph AutoLoad features the channels don't have to previously exist in the cr2.

Bloody 'Ell!! Oh wait a minute, ..., Nope! I'm with Martin there! :) Limited to one a day? My goodness, what will I do? Write sarcastic postings while wracking my brain about what to render next month, that's what.
Thread: The Stupid Poser Hack Question List | Forum: Poser Technical
Ack! you slipped a message in there on me :) Those extra valueOp commands are something I've been eying up for a couple months now :) I never managed to get them to do much for me with morph channels, (although that may easily have been my fault, so please don't take that as an indication they wont.) So just assumed they were something that could/would be used with some of the ERC stuff. That wasn't on my agenda at the time though and so moved on, but perhaps one of the ERC experts is already into that area and can clarify a bit.

Right-oh dodger! I was thinking of mentioning some of that, but thought I'd wait and see how long until you posted the .rsr text :) They are all null terminated strings, but actually have the leading tab character's. Not sure it always requires the correct number of tabs, but I've heard that there are some occassions where it does, so seeing it laid out the way you did perhaps explains it. The syntax is very helpful - I was trying to see if I could sluff in some uv coordinate changes along with morph deltas, so by looking at the syntax you can see it will only read the first three floats. To bad, so sad... Back to the drawing board.
Thread: The Stupid Poser Hack Question List | Forum: Poser Technical
Woah!!! That is just WAY cool! So much for the old compiler method - this is just MUCHO better. Kind of interesting how much of the indentation is included directly in the source parser. Also a bit disturbing just how much is hard-coded into the thing :) Many, many kudos dodger! So i guess you're going to be the root cause of all the evil syntax mangling that's about to happen! :) As a side note, there is also a fair amount of text/names in the .rsr :)
Thread: The Stupid Poser Hack Question List | Forum: Poser Technical
Hey dodger "3.Is there a list of geomResource numbers?" There is a list around, but don't remember who's website it was on. Might try searching this forum and see what comes up. "4.Are there camera models other than poser and depth?" There is 'real'. This is used for the Dolly camera. Played with it once way back when I was doing the "Adding New/Extra Cameras to Poser", but got side tracked on some other things (see 12. below) so never fully pursued it. "6.Who coded those spotlights and why hasn't someone smacked them yet? Real light doesn't work like that." Don't know who did it, but I think your suggested solution is why they have been so slow at implementing "reach out and 'touch' someone through the Internet" technology :) "12.How much playing with the numbers have people done anyway?" A TON! Even more fun is to get a binary file reader, and peruse the .exe for code words to try out :)
