U can also go in2 materials, and shift transparency 2 zero fer all the hair parts. If u wanna see the hair when moving other stuff around in the scene, or playing with the morphs ... Shift em back when ya render

Yep I went looking in Deja news ... there was a thread about this, and somebody noted that the box prop in Poser has SQUARE faces, and the Max has triangular faces. And they referred 2 a thread here. Ok, this is other method I used 2 conform: I load in the prop a piece at a time (slicing it up beforehand), arrange the hierarchy using the editor, and save it as a figure. Then load it in as a figure, and set the joint center and end pts 2 match, and conform. Seems 2 work. Is that ok? (I'm no fan of the grouping tool newayz, I find it painful) Heres an example of very simple kneepad. Two pieces. The pose is rather extreme 2 test it, and there's a slight show through. But I didn't bother matching the ... u know, the falloff zones or whatever. Just the centers on the two pieces, Thigh, Shin and end pt on the Shin.

I've been concentrating on the group tool and conforming cuz it seems more complicated, and something of a hurdle 2 overcome, and I figure I can always return 2 replacing parts if I want, but, what do the experts do? Do they conform the clothes, or do they replacemerge body parts with clothing? Thanx. PS Does nebody get the exception class error? Is it infamous or something. I've got it a couple times.

Do I have 2 edit the CR2 file? I just read somewhere that controls conforming. Edit the CR2 file. Geez I hope not, all the tutorials I found about the CR2 file have been broken link city. Or when importing an object is it better to use a separate hierarchy file instead of trying to use the hierarchy editor. Seems 2 b little info about importing 3d objects and making them conformable. I'm sure there's somethin really important I dont know. :) Thx again! Bye

Ha, I was just checking in fer help myself, but I can say make sure u got Hair selected, and the BODY of it. Just testing here, I bring in the hair, and it appears, but the girl is still the figure selected, and her hip. So I have 2 pick the other figure, which is the hair, and its BODY, and then conform.
