Out of curiosity, I did a google search for "How to make a clone for Genesis 8" and it lead me to some links on how to do it with V4. Others said the method worked all the way back to Aiko 3!
I imagine to do it, it would be best to start with Genesis because that actor is already in a T-pose.
I would then, possibly, import LaFemme1.obj into Daz Studio. Make a Genesis pose so it matches the joint centers of LaFemme.
Then I would export the posed Genesis as its own OBJ file, to see where It goes from there...
Thread: HELP deciding POSER 12 or POSER 11? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm on a Mac and like Poser 11.3 for the python functionality (Daz DSON Importer, Reality, etc). I am considering Poser 12 to render scenes setup in 11 while I continue to work in 11. Superfly rendering is claimed to be much faster in 12, so that could be a good combination.

I’m happy to report s-IBL can work on a Mac with WineHQ installed. It will also open .exe iruntime nstallers on a Mac if you were curios. It’s also how I got the Wilddial genesis 3 to poser converter to work.

This freebie will do some of what you are seeking. The vendor/creator also has a paid extension for figure and clothing measurements available at their website. Search "Universal Sizing Apparatus Woman".

I use this to try to keep my scaling consistent. There is a metric version as well. Wall charts can be deceptive depending on the perspective and lens type of your poser camera.
BTW, I learned the hard way that if you use multiple (main, aux, posing, face) cameras in your scene for creating content, make sure they all match in focal length (35mm, 50mm, etc) otherwise you will have optical distortions between the different views.

Good Afternoon EldritchCellar,
Thank you for posting these tutorial screenshots. I have downloaded them and will refer to them in the future.
As far as the M4WM project, I am making progress. ALL of the morphs work (Hiro, Freak, Elite, etc) with the exception of the ERC dials that are part of the Morphs++. They show up in the parameters section but appear to be broken. I will be researching the issue further although documentation is old and scarce for ERC controls (eye-movement, leg length, head scale, etc) I feel as that these need to be fixed for this to be a viable working M4 for copying previous characters over the the new figure.

Thanks for the tip. This will help with many older hair props and figures that do not display the texture map in the preview.

Good Morning nightwolf1982a,
Thank you for the suggestions, I will download and try those apps to see if they help transfer the missing/broken morphs in this particular instance.

Hi FVerbass,
I tried the the same above method again in and in varying sequences to see if I had made a mistake in loading the morphs, but I ended up with the same result. Thank you for mentioning the deltas, I will try to transfer those as well. I saw a script earlier that does this specific task.

Hi randym77,
Me too. Until then, necessity will move this project forward. I have high praise for Karinas work. Any advice on the Cr2s?
The scaling of the joint centers of the K4 would be something to deal with. I've tried and it would be another project down the road if I have a need.

The figure is a joy to pose, by the way. I'm looking forward to being able to share it for free (by the terms of Joe Publics offering.)

HI FVerbass,
I tried that method and it doesn't work as intended because the new figure is based on the Cr2 from the Low res Joe Public offering. Some morphs like eye movement and chest size don't transfer over. I hypothesize that I will need the code from the M4 cr2.

Good Morning Renderosity Forum members.
I have tinkered with Joe Publics weight mapped low res M4 and was able to apply it to HD M4 using the setup room. I used the low res version as the donor and hand painted the edited weight maps to work with the HD version.
The resulting figure is able to accept M4 morph injections, but is not developed enough to use in the traditional dial-spun way of using M4 morphs. To continue fine-tuning for distribution, I'm going to have to learn Cr2 editing to make sure I am protecting the intellectual property of DAZ. One problem that I can foresee is that I am on a Mac and haven't been able to find a good cr2 editor. Maybe, I can run it through Wine like some other .exe files I have had success with.
Is there anyone who can give me pointers to copy the code from the regular M4 cr2 morph channels to the new figure without disrupting the weight maps? I have never been very good with coding.
Thanks!

Keep it simple. Some of the best logos look like they took little to no effort to make. (I heart NY) Thats's the artistry of design. Think in terms of high contrast of positive and negative space, it will help with legibility in different sizes and placement. Personally, I start the process in black and white and add color after the most of the forms are determined. Just stick with the elements and principles of design and you will be on the right track.

I'm on a Mac so I can't check out this exe.
The function seems similar to this script by adp001, but I could be mistaken in what you are looking for.

It works with other external modelers beyond blender. I've been using it to create unimesh FBMs for LHomme and it works well enough on my Mac, although the UI is off from what a PC would show.
