I think DAZ3d Millennium Horse Bundle is US$69.95, and TumbleWeed the Toon Horse Price is US$19.95. Onimusha, if you found a horse at DAZ3d for $1.99, I'd like to get in.

If you're using Windows Explorer, it's probably a good idea to do the following, before you do anything else, as it could affect copying files 1) Tools... Folder Options... 2) "View" tab 3) "Show hidden files and folders" Just to be safe, I'd recommend the "rename" technique of moving folders 1) Rename your new runtime folder to "runtime-delete-me-2005-08-23", or anything you like 2) copy your backed up runtime folder to the appropriate place "Copy" is preferable to "Move", because provides a way to recover, new PC's typically have plenty of disk space, and also copying inherits the NTFS permissions of the target folder. I prefer to use XCOPY to merge folders, but I'm old fashioned.

I beleive someone (Nerd3d?) recommended importing character shoes as props, by importing the obj files. I could be wrong

I know it's a bit late, but often it's just quicker to do a disk-to-disk copy. By the way, I'm not responsible if you damage anything, including yourself, or for lost time / resources. Also there are more exceptions than rules for hooking up a second hard drive. You can damage a PC with static electricity, though I've worked on hundreds and never had a problem. I'm assuming your using the old-style, but extremely popular, IDE drives, and no form of encryption / compression. In other words, a typical home PC's. 1) unplug old and new PC, and open cases (duh) 2) remove hard drive (most PC's have only one) 3) usually on the top of the drive are notes regarding "slave", "master", "cs" (cable select), and 32G limit. Also it's common to fill over a drive, and see the same thing, except it's black letters against a black background (sigh...) 4) look at the drive, next to the power and drive connections, there's usually four sets of two pins. Note the position of the jumper(s), black rectangles shorting two pins. 5) set this drive as a slave 6) As mentioned in step one, the PC should be unplugged. in you new PC, temporarily disconnect the hard drive cable to the CD drive. 7) connect both the old drive ad new drive to the same IDE cable. Make sure both drives have power (again duh). 8) Turn on the PC. If you're quick you should see two drives identified. Once you're in O/S, usually Windows, you should see one or more new drive letters. * If not, shut down the PC, and try "cs" on your old hard drive. 9) Copy what you need via Windows Explorer 10) shutdown, unplug, and put everything back to the way it was.
Thread: Question Reducing Texture Size | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I guess everyone knows that JPEG compress is "lossy", which means information is throw away when the texture is saved. Long and short of it, save a copy of the original texture, and don't reduce by two and then reduce by two again later.

Yippee! Of the toon characters, I think she has the most appropriate shaped legs, though her shoulder joints are a little too round. Now if they'll only create more clothes for her. Love her Jessica dress

You might try using something like Photoshop to combine a free seams guide with an existing MAT, and saving the results to a new MAT. Also has the benefits of speeding up renders, by reducing complexity, and guaranteed to have no problems with poke-thrus.
Thread: Processor Overheating Issues with Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There's several kinds of support for CPU temperature monitoring: * none * can be queried by Windows and the BIOS * can be queried in BIOS only For Windows / BIOS and BIOS only: 1) run your PC under some load 2) restart your PC, and jump into BIOS, typically by hitting the "delete" key 3) go to the PC health status screen 4) if you've got a nice fairly new motherboard, you'll see the CPU temperature. Also you may see several alerts, like for CPU temperature and fan failure As mentioned by Gareee, the cheapeast slightly dangerous, solution, for PC overheating is vacuuming / hoovering the inside of your PC, in particular the CPU cooler. Of course unplug your PC, and be gentle. I'd recommend a plastic end on your vacuum.

You've gotten a lot of feed back already, but I'd suggest if your CPU's below 60C, you don't need to worry. If you have some major bucks to spend, and you want a quiet, easy to install, and eye catching cooling system, Zalman makes a great water cooling kit. The water pump is submerged in a 3 liter (!!!) tank, and is completely quiet. It can eliminate the CPU and video card fans (optional). Definitely how a "wow!" factor. http://www.zalman.co.kr/

Welcome to the world of SLAPP: "Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation" [attached link] Long and short of it is it doesn't matter if a corporation demands are reasonable or not; they have deeper pockets, lawyers on retainer, persistence and patience. They can afford to keep individuals wrapped up in court for decades if need be. Personally, as long as you didn't break into Ferrari's factory, steal their CADD design, and convert it into a mesh, no one should have a legal reason to object. It should be similar to drawing the Mona Lisa. As long as you're not representing it to be the original Mona Lisa, then it should be nobody's business.Thread: Is it possible to add categories to the library... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is one of my major gripes with Poser. Call me a PC traditionalist, but I'd like nice Windows Explorer interface. One column of icons is a drag, and no way to change the view (icon, list, details). I'll often jump out of Poser, and use an image viewer like ACDSee to scan for that perfect pose.

You'll probably find the adult textures would work as a starting place. I think there some difference between the "old" mill-kids, and the new unimesh mill-kids, Laura / Luke / Matt / Madison. In the case of the new mill kids, V3 and M3 MAT's seem to work pretty good, including ClotHim and ClotHer. UVMapper is a great product, but a M3/V3 seams guide could be handy, though obviously wrong in the chest.
Thread: Conform To Problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I know this may be an obvious question, and perhaps even rhetorical, but if dynamic clothing is easier to produce then why is there less of it? My wish would be that commercial conforming clothing products would also include a dynamic version also. I almost never see this. It would seems to be good way to increase the sales of a product. I've never designed clothes, but there must be some good reason why conforming and dynamic clothing are not bundled, I just don't know what it is.
