I get this problem all the time and I never could figure why. I never had it that severe. Random defects in solid growth trees happens often. My work around is to re-populate with slight parameter changes. I have one picture I made and it has that problem and I could never get the framing right after the re-population so I just gave up. Since then I changed my workflow so I can spot these problems before I get too deep in a picture. I pray for the day that they fix this problem at e-on because it would really open up my workflow.

Yes, but how long should we be patient. I stopped using vue 19 days ago because of the problems. I am not about to reinstall the program and the update roll back features doesn't work. This feels terribly long & unfair.

I remember this working at a time (vue4pro) but it was buggy at best, then with vuerinf it just stopped asking if you wanted to retain the materials.

Dale I find your post rude and inaccurate. I don't know how much you really know or remember but at a time Cornucopia was explained as such:

New Cornucopia3D items are constantly downloaded from the Cornucopia3D website (www.cornucopia3d.com) and added to your collections (unless you have disabled this feature), so that your content always remains up-to-date.

You can elect to show or hide the Cornucopia3D items anytime by pressing the Hide online items button () in the toolbar below the list of collections.

Cornucopia3D items are identified by a little pictogram () that is visible in the bottom-right corner of the items preview. These items need to be downloaded before you can use them. If you load a Cornucopia3D item, the Cornucopia3D Item dialog will popup to provide additional information about the item, including the file size and cost of the item (most of the Cornucopia3D items are available for a small fee, but some of them are available at no charge). When you register your copy of Vue, e-on software will automatically credit your Cornucopia3D account with a welcome voucher. That way, you can start picking the Vue content of your choice for free!

This sounds to me like content paradise. What say you?

Is all this havoc because e-on is trying to put a content paradise into the vue program?

This has caused a lot of frustration for current vue users. I stopped using vue but will begin in a week or so. Maybe e-on can make it up to the current vue users by offering something for free to us. It is just an idea or suggestion so please don't be mad.

Agiel, I take it by your lack or reply that you do not use Vue 5 Infinite.

With the amount of rebooting between renders I doubt this would work well for large renders of complex scenes.

Try editing the graph that represents the attenuation light parameters.

Agiel, are you using Vue 5 Infinite?

Who are you addressing this to? What Virus Shield do you use? I have great confidence in my shield that it kills all viri. In the past it always has. I use AVG.

Wow, e-on dropped the ball big time. It is ironic because you think e-on would have all their ducks lined in a row before they open a new web site and go to the Siggraph show. Instead well we know the rest... I stopped using vue too, but I have hopes I may begin again. I too am looking for alternate more dependable software from a company that treats its customes with respect. I'm sick of being called naive or impatient from people who don't know me from atom.
In hindsight I should have bought a highend professional program because the money, time, and frustration I waste with e-on has far surpassed it. Sometimes you really get what you pay for.
