I'd go into the materials lab and play about with the specularity and reflection. Also if you use terrains for roads, you can place a water plane just below the terrain surface and where you have dips you will get puddles.

Bryster usually puts the entry page up around 1 or 2 weeks before the challenge ends which is the end of this month.

I'm a member at Solar Voyager although I haven't posted much there as my images are more sci fi than space. It has some great links for learning how to do space backgrounds in photoshop and I recommend everyone have a go at it.

Next challenge will be called "up up and away in my beautiful Balloon". A few years back nearly every image I created contained this model
http://www.sharecg.com/v/66109/browse/5/3D-Model/Orbitals-Balloon
So for the next challenge create a scene of your choice using this model. Obviously imports are allowed, but no post work other than image resizing.
I deleted a load of old images containing this model when I had a gallery clearout here, but a lot of them can be seen here

just to give you some inspiration. The idea behind this was that if I could travel to far off places then what better way to do it than in a Balloon.

Hello, not done a balloon image for a few years now but maybe that would be a good idea for a challenge. If I uploaded the balloon model for download we could each use it in a scene of our choice. Perhaps the challenge could be called "up up and away in my beautiful balloon". Imports allowed but no postwork. What do you think? Also believe it or not up until 2 months ago I didn't and have never had a mobile phone.

Sorry Chris, had a lot going on this past couple of weeks. Currently working on a big commision, sorting out a new car, and visiting friends in London. I'll have a think today and will get back to you later regards the next challenge.

Thread: Moving objects problem | Forum: Bryce
No this is something else, because I create models in a seperate file, then copy and paste them into the scene so I could be when I have only 3 or so objects it might happen.

I wasn't gonna reboot after I posted this question, so just saved the scene and closed Bryce. Anyway after 10 minutes out of curiosity I fired up the scene and the objects were moving smoothly. Even so it may have been quicker to reboot anyhow. Just a wierd gltch, that maybe only I get. Suppose it depends on your set up and what programs you are running. Anyway thanks for the replies.

That would be good for me, I've got an unfinished image that I had to stop doing because I was submitting for a commision which used up all my time.

Socks etc aren't needed. It's going to be two silhouetted figures stood in some grass. So no details need to be seen, I just wanted the outlines to look normal. Thanks again.

Cheers guys, can't believe I wasted most ofthe afternoon trying to sort this out what with installing m4 crap then it not working properly. It was really getting on my nerves as I have a lot of work to do with the actual scenes rather than pratting about trying to dress a virtual doll.
