I alwas start on older programs that I pick up dirt cheap or free... and I will play around with it for awhile and see if I like it or not. Then when I decide that I like it and really like it, that's when I realize the one feature I want is always the feature only available in the newest version. That always pisses me off. The one thing I enjoy is adobe Premiere. I always get a free copy (Latest version) included when I upgrade my video capture hardware. That way I don't have to spend moeny seperatly on it.

did you see that a company has now claimed that JPEG compression is theirs? They are working out a nice licensing agreement for every company and website that uses jpeg files! It's on slashdot today if you want to read about it.

Can you export animated Poser files or only single frames? I used to use Bryce about four years or so ago and like it except the artsy interface got on my nerves. Is Vue very similar to Bryce?

Volumetric lighting is different how? Is there a place where I can get more information on 3d terms?

Flame is a high end compositing program/hardware solution to replace things like final cut and adobe premiere.

I have Candi. And when I put my Vicki character next to her it became really clear how far off I had been. I am using Poser, so that is the limit of my modeling ability and I am still learning it. I am aimming for puesdo photorealistic so I am not really looking for the anime look, more like the graphic novel cover version. I had a system crash again last night so I will be starting over... I will post later to see what you all think.

I must be rare: I am using an AMD 900 and XP with 256 meg and don't have any real problems outside of random fragging of my hard drive. I can use two vickie characters fully dressed and nothing bad happens when rendering. Now animating (Which is the real reason I still play around with poser) takes approx. forever if I have textures on. But I think that's because of the hi-res Steffy texture that I absolutely must have in every render because it's so buetiful

I would like MM Girl clothing that actually looks like something a girl would wear THIS year. Outside of some of Marck's (?) excellent offerings, the Pre-teen outfits all look like something an eight year old would have worn ten years ago.

Thread: Crashes and file corruption | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I occasionally get a corrupted file when I render while having lots of other programs open. It's totally killed my XP system a few times. I am still trying to figure out the best way to avoid this other then closing everything before a render.

Yea, then it just looks like it's looking at the inside of the back of the pants... does that make sense? Plus the body part under the waist line of the pants (where there is some missing parts of the pants) extends above the pants model. So I would have a model missing most of her midsection.

It's great... I have been playing around with it some. My friend has it and as soon as I get money I plan to buy it... The only thing that I must stress is that the sound clip works best if there isn't any other noises in the background. This also includes sounds of heavy breathing and microphone thumps, which makes your character mimic them! Also it helps if the sound clip isn't of someone talking a million miles a minute. But so far all the clips I have tried have worked quite well.
