Where the heck did my post go :^( I posted about how great all those Joshua Trees looked, and that it seems like the TreeLab was maligned.

Chas is ok as long as he isn't accompanied by the horse..... Don't you mean the Rottweiler? ;o) His PR people are still hoping that if she's produced often enough everyone will forgive and forget, and he'll one day be able to take his rightful place as monarch, with his consort by his side. Maybe it will happen, but I'm not holding my breath.......

swearing/not swearing is a very cultural thing. Irish people swear an awful lot, but I make a big effort not to use bad language on a forum like this, because people from other countries and backgrounds wouldn't be used to the level of obscenity that is normal in Irish society. Anyone who's ever watched Father Ted will know what I mean - and a real-life Father Ted would be using language that's a lot stronger, it's been cleaned up for British audiences. Even at 11 o'clock in the morning, on our main radio station, presenters and phoners-in would routinely use the F word. It's mostly a question of politeness, though. Why swear if you're in the company of people you like, who will be made uncomfortable by swear words? My two cents' worth

trying to remember a few more 'not the sharpest knife in the drawer' 'not the full shilling' 'a few bricks short of a load' The foliage from the lab looks pretty good - and tjohns gnarly trunk is particularly effective! I haven't messed much with the tree lab, didn't realise you could get such contorted branch shapes.

yeah, it's missing some kind of focal point. Maybe if you had the towers of some massive city poking through the clouds way way off in the distance, or even miles down below the taxi rank?

Congratulations again, Slakker! and ROTFL at your sensitive empathy with the agony of defeat.

I have the download version, don't think there's much extra content....I'll just check....No, not much useful in the Content folder, a few sample scenes, light gels, terrains.

That tree shape is very good. Yeah, you're right, it'd be better to do the leaves in Wings.

just couldn't get the foliage to look right unless I modelled it, which would have driven up the polys a lot. You can see how fine the spiky leaves are in the attached picThread: STOP SWEARING | Forum: Bryce
**'It'll never stand up in court,' I hear you cry, but stranger cases have flourished. I remember voicing much the same opinion a decade ago when John Ryan's solicitor threatened legal action against the newspaper I was then working for, after I had erroneously (and I stress erroneously) suggested that the characters he'd created for his Captain Pugwash series weren't quite as innocent as they'd first seemed back in the 1950s......The matter seemed trivial, but an apology was made, Mr Ryan's honour was satisfied and two sets of parasitical, low-life libel lawyers thus pocketed yet more easy (and thoroughly ill-deserved) dosh. ** My my, newspaper columnists get very sniffy when they're forced to apologise and pay damages for printing untruths, don't they?

I've been lusting after KPT for years, but I've never been able to justify buying it :^( I kinda worry that it would just sit unused. Do you use it a lot? Do you find it useful? I rendered a sky and then applied a KPT frax flame over it. lol - be kind, and pretend just for a minute that you're talking to an idiot. When you say 'applied a KPT frax flame over it', do you mean that you used the KPT plugin in the DTE to make a preset, which you applied in the skylab? or something like that??
